Dreams Tulum-Florist question

Recommended Posts

Question regarding the flowers through the Dreams packages: I am interested in having very bright, vibrant flowers but would prefer real flowers. Do you think the dreams florist is capable of something like that? I read about them dying the flowers and it rubbing off on the bride's hands and the grooms suit! It just makes me a little nervous. What would you do if you wanted bright flowers like that? Anyone have pics of bright bouquets they got from the florist there? Thoughts?

THANK YOU!

I just emailed Landy to ask about tropical flowers last week, I asked about the availability of bright pink hibiscus or fragipani (google them if you don't know what they look like). I haven't gotten an answer.

In the meantime I went ahead and ordered with angels. she didn't have time to make them so I bought the stems and am having my aunt put them together.

In the future, maybe you could post here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t7767 to keep all our questions together. I think it would be more helpful for future dreams tulum brides to have all the info in one place. Just a suggestion :)

Edit: just noticed you did that!

I recommend sending pictures. I wasn't too impressed with the selection in the wedding guide so I sent Sandra some pictures. My bouquet was almost identical to the picture of what I wanted. I didn't have a bright & vibrant bouquet so I won't post the pics here. My flowers were all white.

Amy, yes I did send her a picture and like I said before, I was there when she was talking on the phone with the florist. The bouquet was exactly like I wanted it to be...but it was very simple ! One type of flower (roses) that is pretty much a classic bouquet

Just for a personal note to myself, if I decide to go with a different flower than the options that come with the package(s), is there a fee included? I don't think the flowers are horrible, but I too am looking for a different angle--will this cost more to do so?

thanks

This is correct. I sent one picture & Sandra quoted me $400 for the bouquet plus extra for the boutonnieres & corsages (she explained that it was difficult to get what I was asking for).
The 2nd picture I sent, she said no problem - I didn't pay anything over my package price. She actually didn't even charge me for the extra flowers we ordered (BM bouquet, hair flower & extra boutonnieres).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
