Question about DREAMS- los cabos or cancun?

Hi everyone. I started planning a big wedding for July in Wisconsin, but it has gotten way out of hand. It's not at all like we had in mind. So this week my husband and I decided to scratch everything and change it to a dw. We've been to the westin in cabo and it was amazing. but for our dw we'd like an all inclusive place so we've chosen DREAMS. we've never been to cancun, but thought maybe we should go there, since it looks so beautiful. I'm worried about it being too touristy and the noise factor. Also, how are the rooms?

Also the host of this forum, Tammy, specializes in Dreams resorts. She was married at Dreams Cabo. You have come to the right place for all your planning needs! Are you planning for this July? The only issue might be availability. You could probably get a weekday, but not a weekend date.

There is also Dreams Tulum if you want a more secluded area. Maybe secluded isn't the right word, but there are less hotels in that area. Just search around the forum. You'll find everything you need to know.

no you don't have to pay their way. Many of us treat our guests to an excursion to say thank you for coming. We also make welcome bags (OOT bags). But most the time people are exctied to have you organize this group vacation. I felt guilty at first, but now I've learned people are excited to make the trip.

The search tool is on the upper right side. Search around & you will find everything you could want to know. You might want to PM tammy (host). She is a dreams expert & a great travel agent.

Small world. We live in arl. hts, il. I see you're gettting married at dreams cancun. have you ever been there? i'm trying to see what people recommend more- cancun or cabo? my husband thinks we should do cancun bc we can swim in the carribean as apposed to the pacific, but i'm freaking about the hurricane season, and what will happen if the resort is hit hard.

I am loving all the info on here, and how personable everyone is. I'm so glad i found this website.smile159.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
