We had a time of 6:30 assigned for our wedding.  I was also worried about sunset time.  I did some research and found out that I would basically be getting married at sunset....no good for me - no time for photos or anything.  The WC told me that she could do the ceremony earlier in the day ad we could sign the paperwork later with the judge.

As it happened, we had the ceremony at 3pm - and she told me as she met me for the ceremony that the judge was in fact at the resort and we signed the paperwork right away...it was a nice surprise!!

I would ask the WC about this option, or if it is possible to accommodate this.

Good Evening Ladies,  I am just curious for the brides who were already married at Dreams.  Did you have to make your spa appointments ahead of time ? I am getting married in about 2 weeks and was just wondering if I should email to get the appointments made now or wait till I get there.

Hey Carey,

Deyanira told me that we could only make appointments up to 1 month out. So I would make an appointment now via e-mail or call them just in case, you don't want to risk not having a time for your hair/make-up.

Carey - I made hair appointments for me and my bridesmaids by email directly with the Spa about a month and a half before we get there, I also made manicure appointments directly with Carolina which she still has to confirm.

I would make the appointments before you go, just to be on the safe side. Here is the Spa contact info if you want to email them:

spa2.drepc@dreamsresorts.com

The person I emailed back and forth with was Laura Guerrero.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
