jackie, you will be JUST fine! you can reserve a reception location ahead of time, and a few weeks before, your WC will email you ahead of time and confirm whatever they need to know. the good thing is, no 2 ceremonies are at the same time of day, so you don't have to worry about reserving your ceremony location ahead of time.

Toya, I can't believe you are SO CLOSE :) It is unreal how fast time flew the last 2 months!! Your ceremony day is my legal day, which is pretty crazy to think about!! When is your legal day in Maryland?

Welcome Jackie! You don't have to decide your ceremony location until you get down there, but maybe if you have something particular in mind for your reception location you can email that to your WC. From my experience, Deyanira (our WC) was faster at responding during the low season for weddings... I think they are so busy right now that it is taking them some time to get back to people whose requests and emails are not urgent. I also noticed that a few times she wrote me back really late... like I'm taking midnight lol So I let the long wait times for responses slide... haha

Thanks girls! I have my ceremony location and reception location picked out and I have already confirmed once and plan on confirming a few more times. I just dont have any thing else chosen like table colors, centerpieces, flowers, etc. I just dont like not being able to picture what my wedding is going to look like.

Jackie - theoretically, you could bring everything with you to have complete control of the situation... but that could require a lot of bags LOL What you COULD do is get a linen in the color you want and do your own mock up at home and decide if you like it that way. Then just get as many of the supplies from the resort as you can! :)

Hi Ladies!!!!

We're BAAACK!!! And I cried on the bus ride from the resort to the airport...it was THAT much fun.

I had the pleasure of spilling my guts to Eliana today at her work, so she got quite the earful!!! I literally had JUST gotten off the plane, so it was awesome to get to jump up and down and scream about how much fun it was with someone who has gone through the planning process. pinkie.gif

I'm still unpacking and sorting, but hopefully I'll write a review this weekend and have pictures for you all to see!!

Melissa and Summer were A-freaking-MAZING...and I was just as sad to see them leave (if not MORE) than some of my own family hehehehe...

Overall, things went BETTER than I ever could have imagined and none of you will be disappointed. I can't wait to tell you all about it!!!!

Hey Christine,

Welcome back Mrs! I'm jealous that I didn't get the spilling of the guts. LOL. j/k

Glad to see your home safe and sound and that you had a great time.

Once you unpack and get settled, I'll be waiting for a full report! :)

And we have our NJ meetup soon so that's something else to look forward too.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
