Hi guys,

Probably stupid questions, but I'm going with the philosophy that the only stupid questions are ones that aren't asked, to make me feel better. ;0)

If you have your reception at one of the restaurants, do you get to have a dance as well, and if so, where? Also, are there other guests dining in your reception location (ie if you have your reception at Himitsu or El Patio, are there other guests eating at the same time?). Finally, can you have your reception in/around the gazebo, even if you're having a beach ceremony?

Thanks in advance!

Tara

You can choose to have a private reception on one of the restaurant patios/terraces. I believe that is where you have your dancing as well. They just set the entire area up for the reception. Then after the reception is over you can head over to the disco if you want to continue dancing. I don't believe the gazebo is used for receptions, it is usually where the wedding ceremony takes place. But you can use any of the reception locations even if you are having a beach ceremony.

Hope that helps!

Is there a limit to how many people you can have inorder to use the gazebo for the ceremony? I always dreamed of getting married on the beach but I am not a fan of random people walking by and hooting and hollering. I am just worried that it will take away from the intimacy of it all. Anyone else concerned about this? For people who have gotten married here, how did you feel about the situation?

So I am an offical DREAMS PUNTA CANA BRIDE!!! I am having a symbolic ceremony on July 15th, 2009 (all the civil ceremony's were taken for the whole 2 weeks we were there sad.gif . I am so happy but I just have a few questions.

1. Where are the places that you are able to have the reception and what are the costs involved?

2.In the wedding packages it says silver gold and platinum dinner and cocktail dinners. What is the difference between them? Does anyone have the menus?

3. I noticed on the website they have beautifully decorated linens and bows for the reception...do you know what the costs are?

I am sorry to ask sooo many questions but my wedding is in 2 months and my wedding coordinator is so busy she can't talk or answer my emails so I am completely stressing! If there is any information that you girls can tell me that would be amazing!!!

soccergurl congratulations!!! that has to be a relief!! have you tried the forums on the dreams site yet? the woman baltobabe on there (like i know maegan mentioned before) is extremely helpful and can give you all sorts of details. also, if you search in there you should be able to find most of what you're looking for.

i would venture to guess that their linens and decorations are probably more expensive than if you brought your own stuff, but i can't say for sure.

definitely check out the forums (both the Dreams PC and the Weddings one under the "Q&A" section) and hopefully that will give you everything you need!!

Hey girls

Couple quick questions before I decide on my resort, dreams obviously being one of them. Is there a private place at dreams to get married? the gazebo looks nice but I am having 60-80 people and I dont think its big enough. I love the beach, but am just worried about too many people watching and taking away from "our day"...Also why did you choose Dreams over the other all inclusives? HELP

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
