Erin what is your backup plan? Just curious to see what people are thinking..

ASHLEY YOU DA BEST! At least we all have one question answered... wonder when we will hear about the DJ and whatnot? I have created a list of Q's I will ask Deyanira, since in checking out which option is the best for us I realized that the info is not THAT clear. Example: The ultimate package states decorations including chair covers... does this mean that it is NOT included with the free package? As well, for any of you who have already emailed, did any of you ask about the beach? Apparently, in the ultimate package, "use of the beach front arbor" is included... is this the beach and its ugly arch? I would switch that for sure, but if the cost of the beach ceremony is included in the price (normally an extra $300) thats a bonus...

Honestly girls I looked at what I will pay for the free package and add extras, and the cost of the ultimate package, and we are totally going to switch to that. censored.gif shitfan.gif

it is SO not worth it for us to switch to the ultimate package. $2k is way more than we ever expected to spend.

our backup plan is actually the la barcaza boat. the price will be nearly identical to dreams with their set-up fees and everything, plus you get to make it more personalized.

it seems like they are giving more information now for the couples that are researching dreams going forward, but even still, the information isn't totally clear. is there a $15/person charge for the beach wedding instead of the $300 or is it in addition to it?

This is the answer I got from her:

"We do allow music and dancing on the terrace and the set up charge is included, you do not need to hire a dance floor." She is speaking about the Ultimate package here.

Hope that helps girls.
This is great Ashley thanks soo much for getting this info for us and easing our mines, I am glad to hear that we can still have dancing and the set-up fee is included in the ultimate package. I will definitley be upgrading to the ultimate package now and I will just have to pay for the additional people.

Okay ladies, my fiance sent an e-mail to Sharron, here are a couple answers:

QUESTION -->Tara and I saw in the wedding guide you provided to us that there is a 15 pp fee for chair and table set up. This only applies for rehearsals and parties other then the reception correct. As the cost of set up is built into ALL of the wedding packages and dinner options, am I right?

RESPONSE --> Yes you are correct

QUESTION (asked July 17, 2009, hopefully still accurate!)--> For linens and ties for ceremony and reception, are they provided with the wedding package, or do they have to be rented? What would the cost be?

RESPONSE --> Chair ties $3/chair, table clothes $10/table. Tables and chairs are laid and covered white as standard without cost.

Hopefully this information is still true, since the 2nd question (about linens) was asked way back in July...

I would love to hear what everyone else gets in response to their questions, since consistency in answers would make me feel a lot more secure/comfortable!

This is great Tara, I think we should all compile the same list of questions and send them over to the WC's together to make sure we have everything in writing and that everything is consistent. I feel alot better knowing that I don't have to pay that $15 set-up fee with any of the packages and that basic white chairs covers and linens are still free because I am bringing down my own decor for that anyway. I will review the dreams love wedding package and the dreams ultimate wedding package because there are soo many things I really don't need in the ultimate package, so we will see.

I feel a bit relieved now whewwwww

I'm ASSUMING that these things apply to the free package as well, since Sharron knows that that's the way we're leaning. But it wouldn't hurt to specify, so if someone gets a direct answer to a question specifically about the free package, please pass it on!

And I agree, keeping a record of EVERYTHING is key. I'm keeping a folder for all our correspondence with Sharron, which I'll be able to access down there if they try to pull something over on me...

It seems to me that all these extra charges may be for a completely SEPARATE event. For example, if you held a rehearsal or welcome party, or if a business held a corporate or private event. For example, it says that the bride's bouquet is $90 in this same list of costs, but that's included in all 3 wedding packages. So I guess this would only apply if someone didn't want to use one of the packages, and wanted to build their own, for some reason....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
