Thanks, Nat! That makes perfect sense. My TA must not offer that incentive, though. She got us deals that I couldn't find cheaper anywhere else (not even on my own) and she says that she just gets reimbursed from the resorts and airlines (doesn't tack on additional charges to us for her services)...so, maybe it isn't an option for us, ya know? I can't believe your future hubby is playing in Toledo tonight! This is their opening weekend for the arena and I only live about 3 blocks away! Too small of a world! I wish you were here, too, and we could meet up! How crazy!

I am worried too about shipping/weight constraints for flying... like i was thinking of buying flowers for centrepieces and putting them together myself (or with help). I was at dollarama last night and saw square glass vases to use but they are pretty heavy... I don't know... I have to email Deyanira and ask her what kind of vases or centrepieces they offer there... my problem is too, that there are soooo many ideas to choose from, that I can't decide..
Then, I am still trying to figure out about a legal or civil ceremony.. financially it would make way more sense to do it here before or after, but then I still feel like we are lying to people...to add to all that, if it's going to be civil, then I need to really get on doing all the paperwork for it... censored.gif

I am getting overwhelmed when I think of all this stuff.. that and my trip payment is due this afternoon and we are not getting a free room like we thought, so there's another $3600 to add to our bill. censored.gif
OMG, this is long... sorry about that.. guess I needed to ventblush2.gif
How is it going for you?
I was thinking the same thing about getting married before we go but my dad had said awhile back that it would really upset him. Really though how would anyone know lol (evil smirk) It is so much planning and paperwork I still don't know, what the groomsmen will wear for shirts, or even FI's outfit as well as our infant son...blah. Do you know if the 3 hour reception also includes the cocktail hour we paid for a Dreams Ultimate Wedding package and a cocktail hour is included. I went to Michaels to look for centrepiece ideas and I got really overwhelmed. Are you getting your hair done in the spa there? I have 5 girls plus myself and Sharron told me an hour that seams really unrealistic and there are 2 other weddings that day, I am kinda freaking out a bit, last thing I want is to be rushed.

Our trip was really dirt cheap too, it was an incentive offered through Sunwing! Our TA is amazing, he is getting us all kinds of freebies!!

I wish I were there too, I miss him A LOT!!! Only 9 days though!

I know!! At least we don't live in Nfld, Gander has SNOW!! Actually, I'd already be gone now but because our puppy needed a rabies vaccine valid for 30 days I couldn't enter the USA with her until then!

if anyone wants, Deyanira sent me a bunch of pics of some centrepieces... not my taste, but if you liked the table clothes they offer, than you'll like these.. so expensive too...

Another FYI, I was in Kitchen Stuff Plus today and they had a lot of different centrepiece ideas... cheap too.. not sure if they have a website, will look into that in a minute.

I have no ideas about the cocktail hour, we are doing the free package with add ons, just send your WC an email.
I will probably get my hair done there... if not, it's going to be something easy for me/someone else to do. One of my guests is a makeup artist so she will be doing my makeup.
That's exactly how I feel about the legalization stuff, but i've already had similar commints to your Dad's.
I need to go to the consulate and get everything sorted out... just have to find time.

Done.
I think a lot of the floral arrangements match those table cloths the hotel has...
Aren't you bringing down your centerpieces?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
