You ladies are such wonderfully organized planners! Most of you have wedding dates later than mine and are soooo much further ahead in the planning process than I. I just bought my dress on the weekend, off the rack (and thank goodness for that... Most places were saying it would take 4-6 months to get the dress in, let alone alterations, and since my wedding is 6 months away as of today, it was getting to be crunch time!). We haven't really decided on the guys' outfits yet. Seems like everyone is pretty well going with linen for the men, eh? Any ideas where I can find some good deals on the guys' outfits in Canada?

I had to read your thread twice to notice it...I guess being a fellow canuck it just comes so naturally that we're not even aware of it anymore! lol no worries! I think most Americans just find it amusing like we find many of their contractures to be wink.gif

We're getting Josh the linen suits that everyone has been raving about here on BDW. $99 for a custom linen suit.

Linen Suit - 8 Colors [Linen Suit] - $99.00 : Studiosuits.com, Custom Suits | Designer Suits

Here are the reviews from the ladies here on BDW (the last few pages have pictures and reviews):

also, if you want to have the wording posted on here, you can email it to me ([email protected]) and i'll post it for you!

i just got some of my questions answered from deyanira and wanted to share some answers that you guys may be interested in:

-silk flower petals are okay, even for a beach ceremony
-the huppah they offer is wood, not bamboo
-you can get the huppah without flowers (just the white fabric) for $150 as opposed to the $350 with the flowers
-a microphone is included in the speaker rental and you only need to rent the speakers for your reception. they are included for the ceremony.
Erin, did I send you the wording? I can't remember as I was away up north all weekend...let me know and I will send it to you smile29.gif

our colors are pink, white and black.. although my dress is ivory. it's all based off the stargazer lily. i know we're going non-traditional, but the GM will be wearing black linen shirts and tan linen shorts and FI will have a white linen shirt and the same shorts as the guys. the BM have black dresses and then the flowers are mostly white and pink so it ties all of the colors together. i say, it's a DW.. anything goes! whatever colors you think look good together will be beautiful i'm sure!
Erin black, white & pink are our colours too!! Guys will be wearing black pants, white short sleeve shirts. BMs will have black cocktail dresses, flower girls white/pink dresses (haven't decided that one). My dress is ivory too, and I'm going to have a hot pink bouquet... haven't fully decided on what the BM flowers will look like... bought some, but not sure what Im going to do yet.
I find it difficult to co-ordinate right now! Maybe just b/c I'm tired.

hey Tara!

My FI bought his linen suit at Le Chateau at the end of August, since their summer stuff is all on sale... normally I think their suit coordinates are like... $180 for the jacket and $90 for the pants, but they were both like half price!! If you don't want to buy from the internet, that would be a good place to start.... not sure if they would STILL have that, but another thing to check (if you have it where you live) is a Le Chateau Outlet, since they almost always have that stuff! Good luck :)

thanks for asking tam! you didn't, but i'm having pastor york do my wedding so i don't need the wording. thanks for the offer though!

for you married girls (ssnm and lp) can you tell us how the day of the wedding was coordinated? did the WC get your guests to the site and get everyone in place or how did that work? i want to make sure everything goes smoothly on the day of and i haven't ever heard a complaint about this from the resort so it seems like they do it well. i was just curious exactly how it was all orchestrated!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
