I did confirm with Deyanira (sp?) my new wedding coordinator that the bar is included with a private dinner / reception. Did anyone else used to use Miguelina and now she is gone? I was very nervous because I received an email from Deyanira asking me the date and time of my wedding... its only just over 2 months away... shouldn't they know this info? Also, I am having a legal ceremony, but have just been told that the judge "might not" be there... and he might be there another day or later in the evening for us to sign the papers and the wedding coordinators will just perform the ceremony. Isn't this why I am paying $300USD for a judge (I realize it is for the documents aswell). It just seems strange to me. Maybe I'm just stressing to much! LOL!

We have been given Sharon as our coordinator and since we are just a few weeks out she has been good so far about returning emails etc....once we get back I'll let people know how things went! Our WC has changed 3 times since we started planning at DREAMS!!! but I am sure things will be fine!

A newfie lol j/k :P Is NB humid in the summer? For some reason i thought it was.... but I could be wrong. it's been a while since I was there last. Anyways a good source to check out is Welcome to Weather Underground : Weather Underground look up Punta cana and go look at the historic temps for past July. As long as everyone stays hydrated, wears uv protection (sunscreen, hats etc) they should be fine.

The ceremony is usually 25 minutes tops.... and you could always plan it for later in the afternoon. We also asked our WC to provide some ice water with glasses for our guests especially our grandparents. It was 109 degrees and it was very humid.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
