I'm thinking about using him too! He responds fast and actually gives you the option to customize your package and not just settle on the silver, gold, or platinum...so that's always a plus too.

His website for those who are interested is Punta Cana Wedding Photographer and his email is arnaudbrichet@hdcphoto.com.

HDC is hands down the best photographer i saw from PC. you ladies will be so happy! are you doing videos? i'm bringing my photog from the states (she actually from MN) but i thought about getting video done by one of the photogs down there.

also, about the cruise thing.. i know there's la barcaza, but there is also a really cool "cruise-like" excursion to sanoa island and some other swimming spots. it is in the excursion information packet that i still need to scan and post on here! it has lots of information about tons of different off-resort trips. in the packet of information i got i also have the most up-to-date spa price list as well. i finally figured out my scanner so i'll get all that stuff in as soon as i get home this weekend!

also, misty, would you mind sending me those pictures, ebredhawk@yahoo.com?? thanks!!

Hey,

What kind of shoes are you guys going to wear? I was thinking barefoot to walk down the aisle (you won't see my feet) and then flip flops or flats for the rest of the night.

I would love to wear some strappy heels, but then I will be taller than the FI.

jocy, it has a lot of great information.. i think it's helpful in case you guests want to know how much money they can expect to spend at the resort on top of the all-inclusive things!

here are the pictures of the reception sites that misty has been so amazingly sending out! since the forum seems to be working okay today, i figured i'd try my luck at posting them since it would be easier for her and for future brides to see them if they were here:

Wow ebredhawk!! Thanks for posting them, I couldn't get them to post at all. I really wish they would have provided better angles for each terrace but hey I guess we have to wait for someone to post their own for their reception. I really like Himitsu but there is no red at all in my color selection so that won't work for me. I'm hoping the Bordeaux will work out, but I think someone said the view from El Patio was the water so that might be nice too...

here's a link to an album that the completely amazing baltobabe put together (and where those pictures come from)... there seem to be a few more pictures of the hitmitsu terrace and then other wedding details as well:

What goes into making a Dreamy Wedding pictures, photos, and videos, from friends & fun on webshots

the pictures are a little dated.. i think it was still Sunscape The Beach at this point, but you get a general idea.

el patio is my 1st choice.. i'm not sure if it has an ocean view, but i know there is a little river/pool that runs right along side it. as far as the ocean view goes.. it's going to get dark during your reception anyway, so if i can't get it, i'm not too worried!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
