Aw. Thanks Eli! I don't have FB so I'm not able to see what he posted but his work was amazing and he's such a pleasure to work with. Trip to Europe huh? How amazing was that?

Misty, love, your pictures are gorg! We'll have to get together soon and chat about it. I'm anxious to compare stories.

I've been super duper MIA :(  The 3 weeks leading up to my wedding were jam packed with "to do's" and then I was gone for 2 weeks for my weddingmoon. And I finally just got back 2 days ago but now I have AHR tomorrow so still working on even more "to do's". SO STRESSFUL but totally all worth it in the end.

Girls, don't be discouraged if you don't here from the WC. They are super busy. On my wedding day alone, my ceremony was at 4 but there was other ceremonies at 3pm, 4pm, 5pm, and 6pm. Every detail can be finalized when you arrive. They do an amazing job with everything and the scenery really sets itself there. Most of the questions you'd have for the WC are probably ALL answered here on previous posts. I'll do my best to help you future brides. Just bear with me as this week will still be a crazy one! lol

All in all, I couldn't have asked for a more perfect day. Michael Weiler was FANTABULOUS! Deyanira was a doll. And I'm sad to have left paradise!

I'll talk to you in a bit!

BTW, today was my legal day and I feel like such a special gal to have married my best friend :)

Hello Girls! Is so quiet in here! where's everybody? I bet lots of plannningggg happeningg right now!   Quick question, is any of you having a dinner/dance using the beach rather than a terrace? does any of you have pictures of the beach location? Just wondering as we might consider this option..   Thank you!

Hey Eliana!

I must say the Beach Setup is not private at all and I personally wouldn't recommend it. It's even a little seaweed and stuff that drifts up on the beach. I didn't see anyone use it for a reception, but they do have private dinner setup on the beach for couples and I'm sure that is the same area that would probably have the wedding receptions at.

JENISE!!! Congrats Mami! We are going to have to catch up! I wasn't able to see the pics from Micheal's FB, so if you guys have the link, please send it to me :) I'm glad you had a great experience! It was so much more easier once you get there. I think most of us on the forum think way too hard about it all before you get there, and then you get there and you end up being like, "damn, I didn't need all this stuff, and so on". I do plan on finishing up my review for you ladies, just bear with me and in the meantime, feel free to shoot me an email.

Oh and by the way, EMAIL HAS CHANGED TO Misty.Jappa@gmail.com!!

Congrats to all the recent brides out there!

Jen, I'm jealous you only have a month left of waiting. My wedding is 9 weeks from Saturday! I'm getting really excited.

My fiance and I just bought our wedding bands the other day. Inviations have been sent out. The dress is currently being altered. All I have left to worry about is wedding favors and my soon to be 8 month pregnant bridesmaid!

Also, does anyone have experience planning a rehearsal dinner at the resort? My future in-laws want to host a dinner the night before for all of our 45ish guests. I emailed the WC but her answers were very vague and my FMIL wants to send out invitations for it. I was pretty much told we can only have it at the World Cafe outdoor patio/terrace which is fine but it looked like 45 people would be a really tough fit. Plus we want a bar and music because that is basically more important than the food to us. Anyway let me know if anyone has any info! Thanks!!

Hey Ladies,

Maybe I did not look back far enough, but are there any May 2011 Dreams Punta Cana brides on here?  If so, where are you with you're planning and whatnot?  I am wondering how far out the rooms, should be booked.  I have seen the prices from a few travel websites go up and down in the past three weeks, it is kind of making me nervous!  Should I be using a TA instead of booking through something like Orbitz?

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hey Michelle,

I'm a May 2011 bride too! Our date is May 5th. When is your wedding date?

In terms of our wedding planning, we have been working with a TA agent to arrange our travel - and we have included her contact info on our wedding website. We've kind of made it clear to people that they can use her services if they would like, but are free to make their own arrangements if they are the type that likes to do things last minute (or think they can get a better deal on their own

The STDs are going out on Monday and in addition to the "where and when" they also refer them to our website (although we've already given a few close friends and family members a sneak peek ;)). Our designer is already getting started on the formal invitations, which we'd like to follow-up with relatively soon as well - since a figure that with a destination wedding it's probably never too early to send out the invites.

Other wedding day details we've taken care of so far: confirmed the location of the ceremony and the private cocktail and dinner reception, confirm the menu, booked the photographer, and bought my dress!!!

I know there are still many other little things to do, but I figure as long as they are on 'the list' we'll get to them.

How is the rest of your wedding planning coming along?

Jenn

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
