Everyone can just go to a bar as we are getting some pictures done and then meet at dinner. Is there a place at the resort we could all go afterwards to dance and party?? I did not seem to notice a disco or night club on site?
Clay, the is a disco on site. It's called the Desire Lounge, I believe. That is where we are going to head after the reception.

The disco there is ALOT of fun! They have dominican dancers all dressed up in crazy gear getting everyone excited, including dance offs! I can't wait to go back!

Am I the only one is completly stunned that some girls are tipping the WC?? I mean, would you tip your WC if you had the wedding at home? I understand tipping wait staff, your maid ect, but not your WC. Maybe it'd be more appropriate if you go with the free wedding package.

hmm...

i don't plan on tipping Deyanira unless she does something simply spectacular, especially because we're not having the reception there. maybe i'm just crazy??

and speaking of crazy, i went nuts with wedding things this past weekend and got a ton of things done off my list. it helped that i finally got all of my flowers and i could take pictures and get them ready to go. a lot of my things left are just preparing for the trip like getting cash, stopping our mail, etc.

Hello girls!!!!! I hope you are all doing well with your wedding planning!

For us, this past weekend it was great, we were able to achieved a LOT, lol. We are ALMOST finish with the invitations (in three languages! lol), we finish putting together our budget and we also decided on hiring DJ Mannia for our event.

It was funny that both my FI and I at the same time started talking about having a DJ for the wedding. Our families love to dance and we felt that an iPOD might not do it for us, and especially for our family as I'm sure we won't be able to make them stop dancing! lol jiggy.gif

At the same time, we decided to add the fire show, platinum cocktail reception to our event and the gold dinner menu (I hope we can choose one gold and one platinum withuot a problem). We selected our menus and decided on having the caribbean trio for our cocktail reception.

At the same time, we decided to pay for an extra hour for the wedding (1 hour cocktails, 4 hours for dinner - 3 included one extra) I just can't seem to find anywhere how much it costs to add this extra hour per person. huh02.gif

How's everyone else doing with their planning?

Toya I love your dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so adorable, It will look amazing on you!

Hey ladies!

Sorry, I've been such an absent BDW bride! We have been SO BUSY lately, with pre-wedding events, planning, packing, etc. Tomorrow is our legal ceremony, and we leave next Wednesday for DPC! Sounds like everyone is doing well with the planning, I've been following the board, just haven't had time to post!

If anyone would like pictures of anything specific, just let me know, and I will make a list and do my best to take them and get them to you. You can e-mail me at taratoons@hotmail.com. BEST WISHES TO ALL!!!! :0D

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
