Dreams Punta Cana Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone!

Just doing some research tonight and was looking at Tripadvisor for Dreams Punta Cana. To my surprise, the first 6 most recent reviews are all negative, mainly complaining about the rooms being outdated and dirty. Is anyone concerned about this?

Thanks everyone! =)

Exactly PynkLemonade! People are always going to complain, and honestly some people expect a 5 star resort in a 3rd world country to be like a 5 star in the US or Canada. It just isn't. If you just relax and enjoy your time, you will have a great time. If you let the little things bother you, then you will be miserable while you're there. I'm just not going to sweat it, and if it really is terrible well they can make it up to me in other ways.

Hi Girls!

I just got married at Dreams Punta Cana on December 19th. I agree that it is important to know that what one person feels about something may not necessarily mean the same for someone else. Overall, when we arrived at the resort, we were thrilled. The atmosphere is gorgeous. The resort is truly beautiful. However, I didn't expect our rooms to look like the Ritz Carlton. However, I didn't expect our suite to have mold on the lampshades and window curtains. I can handle the few bugs here and there. But, to have stains on our sheets and comforter was disgusting. My cousin went to her room one night and the door frame had fallen off. That same night, my uncle went to his room and it was flooded! So flooded that their was a few inches on the floor. Its a good thing he has a sense of humor (and had some drinks in him) that he was laughing about he could surf in his room. Their was water pouring from his bathroom ceiling. To me, this is unexceptable- especially that we pay to stay in what should be a nice resort.

The outside of the resort is simply amazing. The pool is spectacular. The food is to be expected- nothing amazing but nothing awful. Our wedding coordinator was superb! She was right on top of everything. The only thing we wish we would have done is visited the resort prior to going so that we knew what to request and what to say we didn't want. We had 26 people attend our wedding. The resort is huge! All of our rooms were all scattered so it made it difficult to keep in touch. It would have been very nice to request to have all of our guests in a centrally located building. If we had to do it all over again, I would have chosen a different resort. Possibly Dreams La Romana- we have heard it is gorgeous. Good luck! I hope this helps!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
