I go for my first fitting this sat. Am very nervous about it.. hopefully I will still love it and not look like a white marshmallow.. I will try to post pics too, haven't tried that yet.

Good luck with your first dress fitting:) I went for my first back in August and I had forgotten even what the dress looked like. Next fitting is December 7th then one right before we go away. When Sharron asked for our deposit they were not taking CC info so we sent via Western Union.

they do offer centrepieces, table linens, some tool and floral arrangements, but you may want to figure out some stuff to take down there yourself as a lot of their stuff is not not the greatest looking colours ie forest green, peach and burgandy..(at least not the greatest for beach weddings, I think anyway) wink.gif
I am bringing down our centrepieces.. just simple ones which is a pain in the a$$ to take travel with but at least i like what im having.
As for gifts, I am stumped myself other than I am ordering travel mugs for everyone and trying to figure gifts for our wedding party...
so much freakin $$$!

You must be very excited! I am starting to get nervous for mine, so I can't imagine how you feel right now... are you doing a symbolic or civil?

Beautiful dress!! Very elegant.

I am trying to figure something out that's more of a keepsake for my BMs. My sister I am planning on getting a Tiffany charm for her bracelet, but really haven't seen one I like or that symbolizes our relationship ( or that's in my price range). My other MOH, I was thinking some kind of pendant/necklace but still looking.. my last BM, is hard to shop for too, so not really sure.

What kinds of gifts are you thinking about?

Nope, always been the 25th, :o)

Gift wise i have no idea. My bridemaids are my sisters so i want it be something they can keep that will remind them of my wedding day but I'm not sure what!! Perhaps jewelry of some description..

I think we're giving the boys engraved hip flasks and then parents we're drawing a blank. It's way to close to Christmas to be thinking double gifts for all these people! Poor planning on our part!!

Ok, I just sent my CC info to Deyanira... the only thing I didn't include was a copy of photo id... It makes me nervous doing this.. so if they ask for it, I'll send it, but for now they're not getting it.. we'll see.

Jocy, I hear ya on the Christmas + gift factor.. I was actually thinking about making it into one for some people.. as the pendant I got for my MOH#1 is a white gold and diamond and cost me $150.. more than what I wanted to spend but I can't find anything nice for cheaper..yet. As for my sister's charms, any of the ones I like are $200+.. and she actually got married Dec.21 and combined my gift (which was a diamond heart pendant, which I lost with the rest of my jewellery box... who does that??)

I am sad about that part and keep thinking I will replace it myself one day.. haven't acually told her about the losing part..

Anyways, those are my thoughts.. if anyone has any suggestions.. let me know.

I am not doing gifts for my parents... I am paying for them to go down though..so that's enough!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
