oh fyi ladies, not sure if you guys have narrowed down your hubby's attire , but i went to tommy bahama's store in ct ( mohegan sun) and they have great looks for men. i loved the linen jacket and pant suit! we're going with that and a cool pool blue shirt under. great belts and shoes to make the whole look !! also going tio have groomsmen look from there also. do you think it would look weird to have all the men in the same shirt but just the difference is my hubby will have the jacket for the ceremony? he loved the blue. girls will be in fuschia.

I don't think that would look wierd at all rdhbride!

Actually, it is my understanding that back in the days where spiritism was much believed in, the whole purpose of attendants was to confuse evils spirits as to who the bridegroom was; i.e. they should all blend together in terms of appearance. These days there would be no guess as to who the bridegroom is though, lol.

History lesson aside, I think what you are thinking to do looks sharper and is an adequate distinction. If you were still concerned, you could give him a more elaborate or different color boutiniere.

For us, hubby will be in a white dress shirt with the linen jacket and pants... the groomsmen will be in linen pants, no jacket but we are baffled as to what color shirt they should have. The girls are in an aqua color dress... what do you girls think?

PS: SSNM I never knew that! Learned something new today... hahaha

we have orange and aqua as our colors (very tropical)! I just called FI in Florida and asked him if he had decided what his GMs will wear, and he said the beige linen pants with shot sleeve white button down shirts and they will have the orange boutonnieres (since BMs will have range bouquets). Ahh, the benefits of having a french FI.... he knows how to coordinate, and sometimes better than I do! haha

Hello Ladies, I'm soo glad this week is a slow week, now I can have some time on the forum hahaha......

Our wedding colors are kiwi, aqua blue ivory and tan a very beachy color scheme too.... I am wearing an ivory color wedding gown and FI is wearin ivory linen suite with a kiwi or aqua tie, BM's are wearing kiwi dresses, flower girl will be wearing ivory dress with kiwi ribbon and accents. GM's will wearin white linen shirts with aqua & kiwi color boutonniers with tan linen pants.

nat.. a french FI?! that is incredibly helpful!! mine is so fashion inept it is sad!

our colors are pink, white and black.. although my dress is ivory. it's all based off the stargazer lily. i know we're going non-traditional, but the GM will be wearing black linen shirts and tan linen shorts and FI will have a white linen shirt and the same shorts as the guys. the BM have black dresses and then the flowers are mostly white and pink so it ties all of the colors together. i say, it's a DW.. anything goes! whatever colors you think look good together will be beautiful i'm sure!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
