Strange question I know, but just wondered what some of you were doing for decorations at the reception. Thanks!

Amy
That's a really good question Amy. I never even thought of that. Try emailing the WC and then let us know so we are not all sending her messages.
So many little details to think about...

I just like the idea of you know what you're getting, there's no wilting and it's way cheaper than the hotel flowers...
Holy crap I think they are really expensive, especially the centrepieces.
I was looking online today too, at sashes and tablerunners, they seem pretty cheap.
I can't remember who put it on this site, but it's called weddinlinensdirect.com.
They had lots of colours... sorry just realized I am totally off the subject!

I don't know what to do about a DJ...is DJ mannia from the DR?
I agree I too like the idea of knowing exactly what I'm getting and I can re-use the flowers for TTD pics and the AHR too.

I am ording from linens direct too they are the cheapest that I have found and I have checked alot of websites, so I'm ordering chairs sashes, table runners, and maybe a tabel cover for the cake table. I am still working on exactly what I want my table decor to look like, but I think I'm leaning toward cylnder vases filled with water, marbles, a LED light, flowers submersed in the water with a floating candle. I am attaching a link to what I'm thinking of. what do you ladies think ? oh yeh also attached a pic of what I want my bouquet to look like.

Hi Amy, welcome to the fourum. The only thing I know about the table size is that they seat 10 people around each table. But I'm glad you ask that question because I will need to know the dimensions of the table to if I am too order a table cover :)

Toya,

I can't see any of your links... do I have to sign up for that website?

I received my confirmation from Deyanira tonight... our ceremony will be at 3:00, I guess she will perform it and then the judge will come after to sign the papers...

to which brings me back to if that's how it is going to be, then I could just get married at city hall once we're home and save a little more $$$....

I could drive myself crazy with this...

Hi Amy,

I found the link where someone else (I think ebredhawk from this forum as well) asked this question and the answer was 72 inches; round table that seats 10 people.

Here is the link to the Dreams Resort message board. You may have to create an account to see it. The tread topic is called 'Reception Tables' in the weddings section of the message boards (go to the 'Q&A' section, then the 'weddings'):

Hope that helps!

Thanks Stacey, that was great. I am a member of the Dreams forum too, and have found alot of info from Baltobabe, she has pics of DPC and maps and all kinds of informative things.

Tam, I though everyone would be able to view the links for the Knot, I'm sorry I will try and post the actual pictures. I also have been looking thru a thread on here called show your centerpieces and I have seen alot of that are exactly what I want to do, heres is the link to that thread. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t9012

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
