i actually have a smaller party and really love the el patio terrace. i'm hoping whoever else is getting married the same day as me wants the bordeaux.. that seems to be the favorite! there was a girl on here not too long ago that had my same date, but she's having a wedding at home now... the selfish part of me is glad that i will have 1 less person gunning for my location!! :)

i was originally doing a legal ceremony and they said you have to wait until about 11 - 12 months ahead of time for the judge to confirm. you should find something out soon... they'll send you an email with your confirmation number and everything! be sure to keep that!!

Autumn1- I'm putting in some travel size aloe bottles, some individually wrapped shout wipes (that I bought on the forum!), a beach towel, Spanish for Dummies handbook... I will have to see, since I'm adding to it everyday, but in the category of OOT bags there is a master list compiled of MANY ideas for OOT bags, and people keep adding to it! That's where I'm getting some ideas, so you could go check that out :)

hmmm I havn't really thought about this yet .. I need to get moving, before I know it the wedding will be here and nothing will be done lol.... I will be making a list shortly of the things I want to put in my OOT bags. The thread with std's, invites, OOT bags has some good list on what to add to a OOT bag too.

I am still shopping around for a punta cana resort...and this open bar information is very helpful. I have found that many of the resorts charge extra for an open bar at a private reception (e.g. majestic)...by the hour! So, having this inclusive at Dreams is a plus. Thanks again!! Very helpful!

the reception packages are really one of the main things that sold me on DPC. a lot of the other resorts offer "cake and food and champagne for 10 people" and charge even more per person for anything else. dreams, to me at least, seems to allow many more guests for a reasonable price and they offer several great options for receptions as well!

nsbride, i have no idea why, but i kept thinking that your date was in august!! glad to see your confirmed date now! have you heard anything about a judge confirmation yet?

not yet, but like we have seen before, sometimes the judge comes later (or even the day after) to sign the papers... hey, whatever works!! I haven't heard back from the judge though, it seems like its taking FOREVER! Can anyone give me a time frame when they got their date confirmed by the judge? I know they are super busy, so it can take some time... I just want to know HOW long I should wait before I get concerned?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
