Yep, it sure is!

In Punta Cana ... there are three.

Based on price (low to high) they are:

Melia Tropical

Paradisus Punta Cana

Paradisus Palma Real

I too though that payig for dinner at an AI was ridiculous. But then I thought about it and it kinda makes sense. When you have a private reception, you actually get your 'own' space for your party. They also provide your event with your own servers and open bar and bartender. They are taking staff away from the other guests just to attend to your needs, set up and clean up for your event, so it makes some sense. Now, what I can't understand is why each menu has a different price.

I dont understand the pricing either...and when they say "pick one" for the main entree, are they telling us the bride to pick one or will the guest be able to choose one?? I'm thinking its the former but still, if I decide I want to pick the fish not everyone eats fish...they should let the guest have two options: chicken or fish, etc....do you know how it works Ticia?

You pick what you want the meal to be at the wedding. When I emailed Grisel about this, she said that they can accommodate for other guests who don't eat what you have chosen. But I think it's only for a handful of guests. I chose the beef, but I have 2 people who don't eat beef, so I will order chicken for them when I get there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
