:) :)  i love to see what everyone else is doing.

Im having my reception at the Porofino Restaurant.  : ) The Pics look really nice. I super excited!  As so decor.  Im doing everything DIY.  There is no way I could spend 150 on flower center pieces.  So I got a few Ideas off Pinterest.  I didnt think I would like tissue paper as my main center pieces, but my mom and I played around with a few ideas and Im really excited about them.  They look like pom poms so Im hanging the bigger ones from the beams.  We are making smaller ones for the tables.  Some were are those fake lights in the center others we are just using as poms.  Im looking into glass votive I can bring.  Since i'm only having 6 tables.  I thought 3 of them I could do glass votive.  I found a few a the dollar store.  I wrapped rubber bands round them and spray painted them white.  After they dried I removed the rubber bands added a small candle.  LOOKS GREAT!  I was pretty impressed with myself!  I'm just worried they will brake on the way there : (   Other then that...that's all I got!  I figured the setting would help and I wouldn't have to do too much decor.  Oh I'm also doing my own bows for my chairs.  Still have to go buy them.  : )  What are you doing?  I live on Pinterest.  I'm not sure what I would have done w/o that site!

June, July and Aug 2013 brides, Are you guys sending save the date cards or magnets? I just got mine and sending them out tomorrow. I got mine from vista print, nothing fancy and very economical. If you guys haven't yet check it out :)
Hey Carolina, I actually just sent mine out on Thursday and I included our website so guests can start booking their rooms. I got mine from "wedding paper divas" pretty good prices and they're really nice!

We send messages in a bottles as save the dates. I saw a pic on this site. The boxes look like little suite cases, I love how they came out!!!!! We did 100 I wanted to do something cute because this will be the only thing most get from our wedding. From this point on the only ppl getting info and a formal invitation will be the ones who are going. We have gotten so many complements ppl really like them. I'm cutting corners somewhere else to make up for what I spent on them but it was worth it to me.

Wow! I have been away for two weeks and I had a lot of reading to do. Carolina I'm glad you finally booked with a TA! I decided to have a TA on hand for my guests but not to do group booking. NegritaDR your stuff looks awesome.. I really want to do passport invitations. Did you have a hard time or was it easy? Did you have to buy a lot of supplies? Did you print them yourself at home? As far as my planning goes I made my own save the date post cards with the help of microsoft word and vistaprint. I ordered about 100 but when it comes time to do invites I will only send them out to people who are serious about going. I plan on mailing out the save the dates the last week of Aug. As far as centerpieces I wanna go with the Ikea Lanterns. I saw a bride in the forum had it and it looked nice. They are pretty cheap ranging from $7-$14 depending on size. I dont think I'll have more than four tables so it works out. I have also been using the vistaprint groupons to get the OOT bags with a personalized logo I made. Is anyone working on wedding websites? For some reason I have had a hard time getting around to finishing mine and I really need to before I send out the save the dates.

Thank you nrbc919. I had my friend help me make the invitation her printer is more professional then mine. but it was a pain in the @$$.  I just had to purchase the paperstock and ribons the rest is printing and creating, I tried some templates for them, but they weren't working so I just measured it myself and did lots of tryouts before I could get the one I liked. My bonus is that my friends does invitations and things like that, this was her first passport invites and I think we did a great job for being a newby at it. you know I didn't do a website, mostly cuz I didn't have all the information on time and then it was too late.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
