Hello ladies,

 

I am back!!! I got married on June 26 at The gazebo. It was my dreams wedding. The grounds are beautiful, rooms are not big, but not to small. I was upgraded to a honeymoon suite for free, which was really nice. Honeymoon suites are bigger than the standard jr suite. Deyanira my wedding coordinator was a sweetheart. Service was great!!! The only bad thing I have to point out is that the music at the disco is not that good. I fyou have specific questions, please feel free to ask.

So we have 50 days to go.  I feel like this has been the longest year of my life.  I wish I had more then a year to plan everything.  We have been engaged for two years but it took me one year to decide on a venue.  Not funny at all..... Finally I was convinced by a dear friend who is a travel agent to do a destination wedding.  I must say that I am super happy I chose this way. It will end up costing us half of what we would have paid to do a NYC wedding.  We have about 50 guest coming 6 of them are children and 3 teenagers. I chose this resort because I felt it would accommodate all of our needs.

 

My guest are just as excited as we are. The kids can't stop talking about what they are planning to do.  Our wedding will be on a Saturday @ 5pm, we are arriving four days before. Most of our guest will be coming in that Friday, but we do have some that chose to arrive earlier.  As for planning I have been super busy with all of my DIY projects. I am a crafty person so to pay someone else to do my thing would be a no no.  I have fun posting my project on another site I have joined.

We plan to bring our own center pieces, sashes, OOT bags, favor, runners, programs, wedding survival kits etc......

 

I cant wait for our guest to see the goodie bags we have for them. We wanted to thank them for attending our wedding.  I'm about to freak out over our bags.  (Note to future brides don't ship your things, they nay get stuck in customs) I have read nightmare stories about brides who dis so only to have the boxes arrive after they got married) I had to create a bag spreadsheet just to figure out who's bag will carry what. LOL 

 

Personally I can't wait for this to be over with. I just want to put my bathing suit on lay by the pool and sip on a strong drink while I exhaling.

Hello and Congratulations!!! Glad to hear that u had the wedding of ur dreams. Do u have pics? What type of ceremony did u have? Was there anything u didn't like or a recommendation u might wanna give?

That is correct...My wedding is also January 30, 2013 but @ 5:00 and yours is booked for 6:00. My WC also mentioned the times are taken for 3:00 and 4:00, so it should be a busy day and night for weddings! I have not picked a photographer yet, and still not sure about decorations, flowers, or the menu yet. I am hoping to bring some of my own.

We leave in 11 days! We just shipped 4 boxes via FedEx on Friday and really hoping they make it through customs! If not, I will kill my fiancé for talking me into doing it! What is up with everyone getting FREE upgrades to a honeymoon suite?!? Wish I would of known that when booking, could of saved us a lot of money!

I have lots of beautiful pictures!!! My photographer was HDC and my wedding package included ceremony pictutes, which were also good. We had a symbolic ceremony. As far as tips, I wouldn't pay extra for the dj. I rented the music system and we took our ipod. Like I said previously, the music they have at the resort is not good, so thaks god we decided to go with the ipod than with the dj. For me, it wasn't worth to pay $500 for a dj for 3 hours.
