Hi Jackie!

We had the silver dinner menu.  We chose the avocado salad, cream of tomato soup, the steak and the apple pie.  Everything was great but I didn't care that much for the pie.  But the wedding cake was yummy!

I told my WC all my arrangements before hand...it was pretty easy for her because I was bringing most of my decorations and my own flowers (real touch flowers).  I told her how I wanted things placed and she did everything perfectly.

My sister bought my hair extensions that I brought down. I think she paid $75 for 6 pieces  They are the clip in types.  The lady at the salon had no problems putting them in.  She seemed pretty use to it actually!

Happy planning!  You're going to have such a great day :)

Did you wait till you got there to tell the WC all your arrangements (decorations, bouquet, dinner choice)?  Also, what kind of extentions did you get? I thought about getting some but didnt want to spend too much money for them.

Deemore, Im also going to do a sand ceremony. It took me forever to find a vase I really liked. My FI has two children so we are also going to have them be a part of it. While searching for a vase I did come across sand ceremony picture frames too that were really cute.

And my husband to be is not to thrilled on me bringing everything with us when we travel. Looking foward to see your pics!!  XOXOX

Hi Teresa

We brought everything down with us because I was to scared to ship.  We had 3 extra suitcases and paid the extra fee to bring them down.  We took an extra one and gave my mother and mother-in-law each one.  It wasn't that bad...

I brought down chair sashes, table napkins, cocktail napkins, silk flower petals, my bouquet, cake topper, menu cards, starfish place settings, centerpieces (each of my bridesmaid and my mom brought a vase in their carry on), candles, raffia fans and each guest had a favor (starfish bottle stopper).

I had 45 guests at my wedding so I had a lot to bring but somehow made it work!  I left a lot down there so coming back wasn't that bad :)

Hi Melly81, Congratulationswoot.gif

Carolina is also my WC we got off 2 a bad start but things r fine now it helps to hear how good she was with ur wedding. I have lots of questions (lol)

Were the vases glass that u took down? I'm so worried about the vases I plan on taking not making the trip in 1 piece!!!!!!

You used an Ipod for both ceremony and reception did you rent the sound system?

Did you go on any excursions? If so how much were they? I found a few things online but Iâ€m not sure if those r the correct prices.

Did you use the resorts centerpieces? Iâ€m looking for a florist in PC and having no luck.

Were the extra bags very expensive?

What rooms did you and ur guests stay in

Skyy.

I love this site!!!!  now if I could only get enough post out here so that I can get some of the templates. that would be great. I'm trying to put together my OOT bags and is becoming a pain.  Specially the designing and the wording and finding the right template for the things I need,  Ladies if any of you wants to help out and send me emails of templates since it seems that I can't reach the amount of post in time, I will greatly appreciate it. the email is ngrita22@yahoo.com.  TIA.

Hi Brides,

I'm doing the final check of what have I not thought of yet...

Guest books!

We are hoping that mother nature will be kind and that we'll be having the dinner and that part of the reception on the beach; dancing at the club later.  Has anyone out there DONE the beach buffet?  If you did, did you do a guest book?

Also, did you do the first dance?  Or the daddy/daughter dance or the mother/son?

Just trying to figure out how that all works out on the beach.

Official countdown says 4 months and 18 days.

Thanks everyone!

Carly

Hi guys,

I'm a uk bride planning on getting married in May 2013 at either Dreams Punta Cana or Now Larimar.  I'm lucky enough to be staying for a week at each this June so if you have any specific questions you would like me to ask please let me know - I have a list but am sure I've missed some!

Hello destination brides!!!! I'm new to this and I think this is great to be part of! I'm getting married May 26th, this year at dreams resort!  Have about 3 more weeks to go! cheesy.gif  Thought maybe some of you can help me out with some questions I have.  I'm super worried about carrying all my wedding things with me.  I'm nervous that my luggage will be lost.  Just wondering if anyone had any trouble with this?? Also I'm having the Gold Dinner for the reception.  Not sure what is good.  Any suggestions?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
