Just wanted to show you the pics of our Honeymoon Suite.  We were in building 7, 3rd floor :).  And we actually only played our first song at the reception, as we did a huge reception with all the dances when we came back home for everyone.  008.JPG

My FI and I are getting ready to book and it's really hard from, the website, to figure out which picture of the rooms belong with which rooms.  Does anyone who is back now have pictures of the Honeymoon Suite?  Or any other rooms?

Also, first dance, daddy/daughter dance, mom/groom dance - did you do those after dinner still in the restaurant or did you try to get the club to play slower songs?  Just trying to work those little things out in my head.

Thanks to all the brides that come back and post for all of us who are anxious, excited, and day dreaming about when it's our turn...

Carly

Hi Andrea28,

As far as I understand it, the package price is the price- no adjustments or substitutions!  So, get as many people to go as you can and just know that one photographer might get a shot that the other couldn't.  That's what we're hoping for ;)     As far as the booking goes, I believe they credit you toward any incidentals you may have, but you'll need to confirm that because I'm not for sure.

I was wondering, when you book the Dreams wedding package and you have more then 5 rooms booked, do they subtract the price of the complimentary package from the price ??? And If I do not want the photographer in the dreams package since I have my own, do they subtract it from the price ??

thanx ladies :P

Heyy all !!!

After spending at least 4h per day reading these threads, comparing hotels, debating, looking out for prices...we finally chose Dreams to host our wedding. Carolina has already confirmed our date which is the 08 of November 2012. We are very happy. I've been reading posts on this forum for the last couple of days to get as much information as possible but I don't think I will be able to read them alllll, there are so much posts !!!

Did you guys reserve where your reception is is to be held right away ??? I would love to have it at the bordeaux terrace :P

Looking foward to discussing with you all, good planing to everyone :)

Andrea

Hi girls! I am enjoying my last full day at Dreams Punta Cana after spending nearly 12 days here. I will be posting a detailed review once I get back but will need some time to get all the details together. I wish I could say that it was all smooth sailing a dream come true but honestly if I had to do it over again I would have just got married at home and had my honeymoon here. Two of the biggest problems were my parents had to have their room changed 3 times due to problems w/mold & ceiling leakage (one of the times was on the day of wedding & they were trying to make them move an hour before the wedding after my parents had called for 5 hours about the problem). The other major problem was my MOH & best man had $300 stolen out of their safe then when we reported it they actually tried to blame someone in my wedding party for taking it. I have a much longer list of problems but as I said they will have to wait until I get home. When all is said and done I'm now married to my best friend and that's all that matters.

I actually waited about a week before I reserved the location for our reception.  We were debating on the Jellyfish Restaurant but ended up going with the Portofino Terrace.

How many people are you expecting?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
