WOW! I love your review.  I too an planning to get married at Dreams, Punta Cana next year August. I have so many questions that you answered in your review. You gave a nice detailed description of what to expect. LOL I actually had to run and get a pin and post-its so that I can make note of each thing you mentioned like: Requesting to get married an hour later, the bringing of my own chair and table decorations etc...  I was was wondering if you would be able to give me a ball park figure on the cost of the photo shoot. Congrats on your new union I wish you both the bed.

Hello Ladies,

 

I am new to the forum, but I have been reading posts for weeks.  My finance and I have finally reserved our date for Dreams Punta Cana for July 2012.  We are very excited!!!

 

We just returned from a DW at Dreams LaRomana, and the wedding was absolutely beautiful:)  I have done alot of research on places in DR, and Dreams had the best packages and prices.

 

I am currently debating if we should go with the free package or the ultimate.  The reason I am reconsidering the ultimate is because, the photographer is so expensive and the package only included 50 pic of the ceremony that will only be 15 minutes long.  I want pics of family and of us after the ceremony, but that is an extra $500.  I do like the fact that the ultimate package includes pretty much eveything we want and with the free package we would have to do tons of add-ons.  My finance thinks we should stay with the ultimate package and just see how it goes (men mentality).  I don't really know what to do.  What are you ladies thinking?

Hi dreamsbride! I am going with the ultimate package too except I am still using Michael Weiler for photography. So there will be two photographers for the ceremony, but that wasn't enough to make me downgrade my package since I do plan on using everything else that it comes with!

Thanks Amberbride5678!  I love everything that comes in the ultimate package too. When I priced everything I wanted in with the free package, the amount came out pretty such the same.  I think I am def staying with the ultimate package.  Are you going to have Micheal do your video too or just use the videographer from the resort since it is included in the package?

Hey Starr082012,

 

The photo shoot package we chose the silver (?) package which included Video and Photography for two hour pre-ceremony, the entire ceremony and reception, photobook, a bunch of pictures in different sizes, and TTD for $2000 total. It was a great deal and we're soooo happy with the results!

Hey Dream PC Brides,

 

I am having a hard time decing which location I want for my wedding. I am looking at locations in Jamaica and the DR.  I absolutely fell in love with the Dream resort...the overall look of it and the wedding packages that they offer. I am now working with a Travel agent now to get quotes.  I am planning for June wedding in 2012.

 

When it comes to weddings in DR I have some concerns.  One major concern for me is the language barrier.  For recent brides, and brides to be...do you know if there is an option to have a legal religious cermony at the dream resort with an english speaking minister?  Also, how complicated was the paperwork process?  These are 2 main factor that could be deal breakers for me when making my decison.

Ladies... I received my bridal pictures back... it was so much fun.  A month and a half to go till the wedding
