Dreams Punta Cana Brides

Recommended Posts

Hi Ladies,

I haven't been on here in awhile, busy with preparations, 4 months to go!!

I will be having a symbolic ceremony at Dreams, because I heard that if the judge does not come on time (which is often the case) the WC marries you, and when the judge shows up, he just signs the papers with you. Often times behind closed doors. So I didn't see the point of paying so much $, and going through so much trouble just to basically have a symbolic ceremony.

I looked at the programs for other weddings I have been to and put together what I wanted the WC to say, I also asked her (Gara) if I can do a 'fake' signing so that the wedding appears  real to our guests, as we won't be telling anyone that we are getting legally married at home.

Back to cutting my program fans!

Shelly,

Program fans?  I'm intrigued.  What a fabulous idea.

Do you mind posting a picture?  Or is there a link where you got the idea from?

I still have over a year but I love gathering these great ideas.

Thanks,

Carly

Hi Jump!

She is correct. In the package that you are getting,  alcohol is included for 20 people during the 3 hour dinner. You get the silver bar and gold dinner for only 20 people. If you have more than 20 people in your wedding, they you will have to pay per person for dinner and they will automatically get the silver bar package. You can upgrade your package as well if you want the gold or platinum. Hope this helps!

Did or is anyone having the buffet option?  I'm a little mad right now because I knew that you couldn't have the sit down dinner if you have more than 50 guests coming, but had no idea how much the buffet cost.  I just assumed it would be right around the same price with the other dinner packages.  I asked Gara, my wedding coordinator, today and she said there are two packages one for $63 and other for $69  per person.  I just think it is a little ridiculous that a buffet would be more expensive.  Aren't they usually less expensive?  I just wasn't planning on it being that much.  We just sent out our save-the-dates and could possible have anywhere from 65-110 people planning on coming.  I was planning for about $45 a person!  Just stressed now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
