How did people coordinate the shuttle service for their guests from the airport to the resort? Is there any easy way to do this?

Also, does anyone have the menu and prices for the Buffet? I just found out we cant get the Gold Dinner menu since our number of guests are too large.

Hi DR,

I actually encouraged folks when they booked to make sure they tag on the roundtrip transportation to their packages, i also encouraged them to book vacation packages and not flight/hotel separately, it came out to be cheaper then booking separately. I also told them if they want to book separately, the car ride to Dreams from the airport if $70 each way.

As for your buffet, how many guests are you having? I know the limit for the sit down dinners is 50, so are you saying that they won't let you have a sit down dinner with more?

Thanks,

Peach,

There is one and it's called Dreams Punta Cana Brides!  But it depends on what kind of photos you're looking for, there are a lot of pics of actual weddings, people with their wedding parties, and some trash the dress pictures, but not a lot of receptions.  I think one girl had up a couple of links posted that showed her entire wedding.  I was scouring the internet when I was still planning and just by searching for Dreams Punta Cana weddings and clicking the images tab on google you can find some if you go through the links.  It takes a long time but there is some stuff out there.  I would give you the links I'd bookmarked but my husband just traded in our old laptop that had everything on it.  Also if you go through all the pages on this thread there are a couple of girls who posted pictures.  If you have any other questions, let me know!

She is my WC as well.... I am going on 6 weeks waiting to hear back from my latest email to her.  I recently emailed the concierge and they have been quick in responding and are getting in touch with her for me.  It is really annoying, but they have tons of wedding every day... i Have heard once u get closer to your date, they respond much quicker!

Hi All,

I didn't post much when planning my wedding, but I wanted to share my experiences with you all since I am now back. My wedding was last week.  1st, the entire experience was magical.  My guests had a great time and truly enjoyed their vacations.  I think some would have preferred a resort with a bigger casino, dreams has one but it is very, very small.  The kids club was great for families, there were lots of dining options, and the resort was small enough that you would run into each other from time to time, but large enough that sometimes you had to really hunt people down if you were looking for them. Everyone was able to do their own thing.

The wedding ended up being great, but I will say that I really felt like things could have run much smoother with a different wedding coordinator. I had Gara and I felt like I really had to chase her down for a lot of things, including setting up a meeting to arrange things after I arrived and trying to obtain my luggage that contained the wedding decorations, etc after the wedding.  Ultimately, 30 mins before our departure, my husband had to get the concierge to grab our bag from the wedding coordinators office.  Some things just didn't get done, like including recognition of our wedding on the daily Dreams newsletter.  The wedding and reception were absolutely beautiful, but these things were hassles that a bride just doesn't need on the days leading up to and the morning of her wedding.

I used HDC photo for my pics & video and I can't say enough great things about them. I would recommend them to anyone.

Oh, and re: reception music, I would say just go for the ipod speakers. They worked out great for us.

Hope this helps. Happy wedding planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
