Dreams Punta Cana Brides

Recommended Posts

Hello ladies,

I'm not exactly sure how to word this properly...Does anyone know what goes on during the ceremony? I will be having a symbolic ceremony, and I know you can incorporate anything you want, but what will the role of the WC be? What does she say during the ceremony exactly?

Hi Everyone,

My fiance and I just confirmed our wedding at Dreams Punta Cana!! We are having a civil service on November 15, 2011 at 4pm. Given that it's only 7 months away, we had to settle for a weekday wedding. All the weekends were already booked for the month, and we really wanted to be married in November. I guess that's why most people plan at least a year in advance! But it's no matter. Our wedding will be an intimate ceremony, and we can't wait to celebrate our lifelong commitment and share our vows with one another alongside our most cherised loved ones!

Look forward to connecting with all of you fellow Dreams PC brides over the coming months. Best of luck to everyone!

I also have a question for brides who did a symbolic ceremony at Dreams and did a legal ceremony in the States: did you have two different wedding dates? Is there a way for the pastor/priest/ceremony leader to sign off on the marriage license as if we got married in the States (which to me is more a white lie, than a blatant lie...) Any feedback would be appreciated!

I am getting ready to leave for DPC for my wedding in June 4th.  So excited and overwhelmed.  Hope the weather cooperates with us.  We are getting married at the Gazebo.  I still don't have centerpieces yet, but everything else is pretty much taken care of.  Will post pics soon.

You can go on the DPC facebook page and see a video of them playing.  One person had a guitar and I forgot what the other two used.  Sound....well it sounds OK.  Not too impressed but my family would love it.  It is better than having nothing.

I went to the FB page and watched several videos but could not find the one with the band.  I then went to youtube and searched several videos without any luck.  I would really like steel drums but I think I may be required to hire a different band.

Does the gazebo decor include chair covers & sashes? and can you bring these to the reception after aswell??

Hi Raq87,

Thanks very much!

For the gazebo decor includes the floral arrangements on the pillars and the table for the ceremony, the flower petals on the aisle and the white chair covers. It doesn't include the chair sashes. We had brought our own chair sashes and we had the option of using them for either the ceremony or the reception - since there wasn't enough time in between the ceremony and the reception for them to remove them from the ceremony set-up and get them to the reception area. In the end, I didn't really care since we figured people would notice them more in the reception area, since they would be spending over 3 hours in those chairs, compared with the ceremony which lasted about 15-20 minutes.

For both Raq87 and farlem 311

The one thing I do want to pass along, since it may save you having to bring more things down with you - you can use the flowers from the Gazebo set-up as the centrepieces for your reception. This was perfect, since even though we had brought down the materials to make our centrepieces, once we found out this little tip from another bridge and groom we jumped on it, since it let us cross one thing off of our 'To do' list giving us more time to ourselves. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
