Sherri,

The first picture is actual and the second was the inspiration picture I gave to Ywalseka (she was amazing).  I do my hair and nails (I just did a re-paint, not a whole mani/pedi) done by her -- my wedding was Dec 3rd and the french paint on my feet are still going strong a month later!  One BM who does amazing make-up jobs did all of the BMs so I cannot help you with the make-up.

Congrats Keight and Firenzerose! I hope you girls have a great time and amazing weddings!! I will hopefully get to hear about them before I leave in a month! It is crazy how fast the time goes!

Question for the girls who have already been married at DPC:

Have any of you had the "Assorted Dominican Appetizers" in the Silver Dinner Menu? What are they? Are they any good? We are still debating whether we want to try these...

Also, the new prices for 2011 are up on the DPC wedding guide, so if your budgeting make sure you have the current prices! I was surprised with some of the things that went up in price.

I am anxiously awaiting 2012 dates to open up so I can get this planning thing started - does anyone know if it is hard to secure a weekend wedding date?  It just seems like lots of people get married during the week and I didn't know if that was choice or because weekend weddings are hard to reserve.

So I just got an email from Yessica today saying that my wedding coordinator has been assigned and it will be Carolina. So looks like you girls get assigned your official wedding coordinator at least a month before your wedding? I had assumed mine was Yessica since she's the one I've always been emailing with (prior to Sharron leaving). Yessica said that Carolina has all of my emails so not to worry she has everything under control. So fingers crossed it all goes well! :)

Anyone who's already been married had Carolina as their coordinator? What was she like?

I have no idea if it's hard to reserve a weekend wedding date, as I did not choose one. I know the wedding coordinators don't work on Sundays so that only leaves Saturdays and they usually want you to arrive atleast 3 days before the wedding so they can plan it in time. So unless you are arriving early in the week then it may be difficult to get a Saturday date?? It's really probably because people are there for the week, so it doesn't really matter what day since every day is basically a weekend!

Did she just email you out of the blue and assign a wedding coordinator to you ? I'm getting married on Feb 17th and I haven't heard from anyone at dreams in awhile (although I haven't had a reason to email them in awhile either). What is your date ?

Yes I had the same happen to me.

However I was expecting my Wc to change because I had Deyanira and she is pregnant. I think she is due very soon.

So I got an email early this week saying i have a lady names Jennifer Castro.  I really hope she is good, so far she hasnt returned any of my emails I think Ive sent her two. Deyanira was really good at answering emails so im trying to be patient with the new girl but If it takes too long for her relpy then I might get frustrated. I know they are really busy there so I will give it a bit.

Regarding the appetizers I have the gold package and I get to pick 3 cold apps and 1 hot.

so far the only one that iM 100 % sure im picking is the assorted sushi.

I need help from you ladies to pck two more cold and one hot.

whats good that you've tasted there?

Yeah she sent it today and cc'd Carolina. I hadn't emailed Yessica in a few weeks so I was surprised to see it. I figured I would hear from her soon anyway but I thought it would be something about what dinner etc we had decided on or something.

My date is Feb 7, so you'll probably be hearing from your coordinator in the next week or so I would assume.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
