Ok, I can speak to this, for the Himitsu anyway.  My husband and I went with our entire group to the Chinese section of himitsu one night, and he had his wedding sandals with linen capris and a button down shirt.  The capris were NOT acceptable, they didn't mention the sandals!  Actually, they didn't want to let him in.  So (being the smart a*s that he is) he shimmied his capris down his butt, and stood kinda hunched over and said "how about now?" and they said YES.  honestly, ridiculous.

I believe he did wear closed toe shoes to the bordeaux when we went, I think that was just a coincidence though so I'm not sure....

Does anyone remember the kind of soup they served at the japanese restaurant? OMG this was the BEST soup I've ever had, and I'm going to try and find a recipe, but can't for the life of me remember what kind it was. I was just down there in the spring for my SIL's wedding.

THANKS!!!

Hey DPC Married Ladies,

I was anticipating having the meet 'n greet the night before the wedding (Thursday night) at Veranda; however, I completely forgot that the Eagles (my team) are playing Thursday night.  Is the Sports Bar big enough to accomodate roughly 50 people coming and going?  Does the bar actually play US sporting events on a consistent basis?  I do not see the Sports Bar on the resort map -- where is the location of the sports bar?

Thanks for your help!

Hey ladies -- any of the upcoming brides worried about the cholera outbreak?  There is 1 case in the DR so far.  Personally, I am not all too concerned but FH's family freaks out about stuff like this!  A good example, his cousin wanted to hire security to get her from the arrival gate to the transportation service outside.  I swear... I could not even make this stuff up!  Anyway, any other Nov/Dec brides getting panicked guests?  I have not yet but I know it's coming in due time and I'd rather nip it in the butt than let it get out of hand.

No problem! My reception is at the Bordeaux terrace so I'll have plenty of pictures! I will also take pictures from the inside of the restaurant.

But I do have these few pictures from the Bordeaux terrace and the restaurant inside for you right now:

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
