Hey Schicha! I did a site visit in April of this year. I rented a car and it was really easy to get around! It was definitely worth it! I stayed at IFA VIllas Bavaro as it was the cheapest and it turned out to be a great resort! No complaints! I made reservations with WC for site visits in advance and visited all the Dreams Properties and Excellence.

thanks for all the picture love ladies!  One of my favorite is a black and white on the beach where I am straddling B :) so much fun!!

lyndsay I am really not sure about the space question.  It isn't overly big, but I'm sure you could move the tables aside when you wanted to dance.  I guess it comes down to your guest count, how much equipment the DJ has, etc.  So, what DO you have? haha

We will have 41 people...we were told that the terrace holds up to 5 tables so we'll take up all 5.  We'd planned to just use an ipod but we're starting to think everyone might have more fun if there is a DJ.  Plus it'd be something less to worry about and maybe things would flow better?

LADIES! I AM BACK!!! I have to catch up on all that's going on, on the forum, but wanted to let you all know that we returned safely and boy do I have so much to tell you all! If you any questions in the meantime, feel free to post here or shoot me an email at Misty.Mitchell@gmail.com. I have so many pictures and will do my best to send some good pictures to those who want to see certain parts of the Resort.

Also if your my friend on Facebook, you will see my photographer posted 2 sneak peeks up yesterday of the Trash the Dress session! She said we ROCKED it, but I couldn't have done it without her! She was great and by far the best choice we made in having her there!

I'll be working on a review for you new girls and will try to post by the end of next week!

Hi Ladies..

I have been so busy planning other wedding things - reception, gifts etc...that I completely forgot about the actual ceremony.

I am getting married at DPC on Nov 19, 2010.  I am just wondering what the actual ceremony looks like.  We are getting married at 3pm, and signing the paperwork later with the judge.

Is there a little speech that the WC says, goes through, are there vows - are they provided by the resort or some to pick from or do we right our own.

I also wanted to do a sand ceremony - do I have to bring the vases and the sand or does the resort have the ability to provide this.

If anyone is able to provide any info that would be wonderful.

Thanks, Carol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
