Hey Ladies! Yes it looks like I am up next with no contact from Yessica since the email she sent me 2 weeks ago saying, "I  remain at your service". So a little stressed, but all in all, I'm just trying to keep it together and pray that I don't have to GO OFF once I get there, lol.

I still need to grab some earrings and the little toiletries but I am ready to go. Today is my last day at work and we are flying out on Thursday so I have a few days to do some last minute running around. I pick my dress up from the steaming appointment tomorrow and I'm taking my ring in to make sure all the stones are tightened, cleaned, and perfect for pictures. I can't believe my day is finally here :) I will be sure to post pics and do a review for you girls, but I think by now you guys are reviewed out, LOL. If you have any specific things you really want me to get information on or bring back (dreams brochures, maps), let me know.

Eliana, I'm glad you had a good shoot for your boudoir pics! Can't wait to see sneak pics. That might be the one thing I regret not doing before the wedding, but it's gonna make one hell of a Christmas gift, lol!

Your bach party sounds like it's going to be AWESOME! Just remember, what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas...except for Herpes, that ish will come back with you! haha! Sorry I had to go there, that's my favorite line from the movie, Hangover :)

I am working on invitations and wedding favors right now. And by working on I just mean that I need to place the orders. Haha I am far from a DIYer. We are sending luggage tags and embroidered hats to our guests as the wedding favors before going. That way we dont have to lug anything down there. I just can't wait to go on this vacation!!!

Also, my bachelorette party is next weekend in Vegas!!!!! and next weekend is my 100 days to the wedding mark! We are doing the bach. party early because a few girls who have kids wanted to do it before school starts. My girlfriends planned everything and I have no idea what they have in store for me. I am soooo looking forward to a fun weekend away!!!

Jenn we had to arrange it when we arrived, but it wasn't too difficult.  Probably since we arrived around 11pm, there wasn't anyone else around!  It can be done though, as long as they have availability for it.

On the MOH subject, it was her birthday so we arranged to have a birthday banner on her door, a cake (both free of charge), a bottle of champagne and chocolate covered strawberries for her when she arrived.  They also put up some balloons without even telling us, so that was a nice surprise!  They can also arrange flowers in the room, if you are interested you can PM me for the contact info for the Chief Concierge!

We are also going on vacation the last two weeks of august to Europe, which means less time to do wedding things! Apart from my weddings from work, I've taken on two extra events on the side. I'm planning a country themed wedding for September 5th (colors are orange and green) and a baby shower for September 26th with a cherry blossom theme. Therefore, I'm extremely busy trying to finalize all details for both of these events before our vacation. Regarding our wedding, we have 2 more people coming, total of 22 guests plus the two us, which is great! Hopefully we will get a few more in the next few months. My wedding dress should be arriving in September, my second dress (short one) is already in my closet and fits great! (I will change into this dress for the last few hours of the evening - in that way I can dance all night! ). I also just purchased a third dress (lol) for the TTD session, which I can't wait to try on!!! I should get it in the mail in a few days. My FI also purchased his outfit from Banana Republic and the groomen's outfits are also ready to go. mmm.... what else??? Oh yes, I did had my Boudoir photo session with Jen this past week, her website is http://www.jenerations.com/, she was AMAZING! The pictures looked great! I can't wait to have them all edited and ready to go! This is my wedding present to FI, I know he will LOVE THEM! I think that's everything for now.... Misty your big day is coming up sooo sooonnnnnn! Jenise you are next!!!!!!!!!!! by the way Jenise, you are the HOTTEEESTTT chef I've ever seen in my life!!! (I saw one of your pics by mistake in Jen's computer, I recognizeedd youuu right away!)

Eliana "the juggler"....damn girl, you got a lot going on but also sounds like you've got a lot done. So glad to hear your shoot went great. Jen is amazing. So you caught a sneak peek of me in the kitchen huh. lol. I just got all my pictures from Jen which were a whopping 114 and I now have to chose 20 for Mike's book :( It's so hard to chose but I love them all and I can only hope that he does as well.

Misty, you better hit me up the day after you get back. DETAIL DETAILS DETAILS. You will be beautiful and everything will be perfection. Just make sure to savor every moments as I'm sure it flies by.

What have I been up to.......hmmmmmmm..............

I had my lingerie bridal shower on the 10th which was AMAZING. I got so much cute stuff. Bras, panties, lingerie, handcuffs, body chocolate, etc. I had a lingerie shower because I need outfits for my BD shoot which was 3 days after. I'm extremely happy with how everything turned out. Bummer was that the day after my shower, I noticed that I lost a little diamond on the side of my ring. I was devasted, crying for a good 5 minutes. I have to go tomorrow and get it fixed and make sure the rest of the diamonds are tightened. (Oh yeah, and NOW would be a good time to fiinally insure the ring wouldn't it. LMAO) Hopefully, my last hiccup is that we just had 5 guest drop out of the wedding in the last 3 weeks and I have less than a month to go! Kind of a gift and a curse. It's less money we have to spend, but on the other hand, I had already envisioned those family members there so it's kind of a bummer! :(

I'm trying to start to pack my centerpieces and table linens. I just got my real touch flowers which I love. Mike is going tux shopping tomorrow with his BM (who by the way,, hasn't booked yet.....these people sure know how to stress a bride out!!!) I have my bach party 2 weeks from tomorrow. And I'm also doing all the planning for my AHR which is 48 hours after we get back!!!!

Kinda a stressful time right now but just doing the best I can to get all my ducks in a row. I've just been SOOOOO busy lately and haven't been on but I still love all you girls, new and old, and thank you so much for taking this journey with me. I truly value all your opinions and stories and feedback. I hope to chat more with you all soon. TTYL!

hey ladies!

just curious...

what(if any) type of events or dinners will you have planned for the week of the wedding? I was thinking of planning some sort of dinner where we could all meet up at a restaraunt at a certain time but I am not quite sure how that will work out since you can't make reservations and I'm not trying to pay for a private dinner besides my wedding reception.

welcome dinners? farewell dinner? rehearsal dinner?

id love to hear what you girls have planned!

Morning Ladies! It's been a busy couple of days for me, so to bring you all up to speed, we legally got married this past Sunday, it was very nice and I cried like 2 tears like a big baby and this wasn't even the wedding, lol.

Update from the resort: Yessica finally emailed me back after my wedding coordinator/sister emailed her and cc'd the general manager and director of sales on the email. She stated that she had booked the Hitmitsu Terrace for us (which I am still pissed about) and may change to the El Patio after seeing some recent pictures of it. She also said she understands how frustrating it can be to plan a destination wedding and not get timely responses from the Resort so she was going to call me on Saturday morning to answer any questions that I may have. So.....Saturday & Sunday go by with no call from her. At this point, I will be there in 2 days so I do plan on negotiating with them for to either cover the costs of my centerpeices or throw in the cocktail hour for free since we are going with the free package and just adding on.

I'll let you girls know how everything turns out, bc my first stop is the wedding office when I get there, I am not waiting for a damn letter to tell me when to show up. I have waited long enough for responses and I am tired of broken promises and questions not being answered.

SN: I'm still very excited about the wedding and I KNOW it will turn out awesome!

I'm so sorry to hear about your frustrations with the WC, but CONGRATS ON YOUR LEGAL DAY! I bet everything will be fine once you get there!

Have the time of your life!

Misty, congratulations on officially being a wifey! I am sure I will definitely cry on my legal day as well.

Cogswellgray (sorry I dont know your name) I am having a "rehearsal" dinner for all of my guests the night before our wedding. I dont know when the actual rehearsal will be but I am calling this dinner a rehearsal anyway. We are paying $10 a person for this. I think they have a private area outside of the World Cafe for private dinners. However I dont know if you will be able to swindle a private dinner for free. Hope this helps!

Hey Jenn, we got our wedding party to meet up at the buffet the night before the wedding, as well as the parents which totalled 11 people.  We had no problem for this whatsoever!  You could also show up at one of the a la catres around opening time for the particulr restaurant and you should be able to be sat together (or at 2 tables next to each other).

Misty, sorry to hear about your WC troubles!  I'm sure everything will be FANTASTIC once you arrive, no stress!!!:)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
