Hey -- FH sent a very "to the point" e-mail to Carolina. He simply stated that before we booked we informed Sharron that we would have 100 people (45 rooms), if not more. She replied and said that they can accomodate us and booking the reception locations is determined by the size of the party. Therefore, unless the size of the other party is larger than ours (highly unlikely) we should be accomodated first. You cannot put a 30 person reception in an area that holds 100 people if another party in attendance has 100 people. Am I right? Oh well, we'll see when she responds.

We had no interest in DPB so hopefully they can work something out.

So now they are putting us on "El Patio terrace" which accomodates 50 people. I am about ready to jump ship and find a new resort. What do I do?

I e-mailed Carolina, my WC, and simply said.. "Hey, you booked me, you knew "X" amount of people were slated to come, yet you sudo-booked the only site that holds our party? What am I supposed to do? Please tell me".

59 people are now booked. This should be an AWESOME fun time trying to find a new resort. sad.gif
Welcome Sarah!!! I noticed you have Ashburn, Va listed in your box, I am right across the street in Lansdowne!!

I would definitely reach out to here and tell her she needs to accommodate your large party! Is this another wedding the same day and time as yours? Don't panic, just continue to email her your concerns and make sure you keep documentation of EVERYTHING!

Hey Misty, what is that you need to know I can probably help you. after being there I really saw how busy they are and how hard it is to respond to all us brides. they run aorund like crazy. and just so you guys know Deyanira is pregnant also, so she may be in and out for awhile, she found out while I was there :)

I'm still working on my review ladies, I want it to be good because my whole experience with DPC and the wedding was excellent. It has been soo busy and we are finally done with all wedding events lol.. we had our AHR last saturday.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
