Hi again,

Just wondering if you all recieved some sort of confirmation number that holds your date and time? They have still not asked me for any type of deposit, and I have been asking them to send me the form...... I am just a little paranoid, as my guests are already beginning to put down their no refundable deposits, and I havent really recieved anything formal confirming my date.

I have to say that I'm already getting frustrated with the response time from Deyarnira. ughhhh

Hi Sarah! Welcome!

Don't get too frustrated with the response time, she usually takes a couple of days (or even a week) to get back to you... especially if you wedding date isn't that close. But she always writes back at some point! :) Not sure if anyone suggested this to you or not yet, but we had some issues a little while back about honoring prices that we were initially quoted. So SAVE EVERYTHING, even if it is the smallest of things!

You should have received an email with a confirmation number (at least I did, with 4 digits) and stating both of your names and a date. Maybe drop Deyanira a line to ask her about it?

sarah - just be persistent with emails. after having met deyanira, i can tell you that she will keep everything that you send her and will know everything by the time you get there. our meeting took no more than 5 minutes because had all of her notes in line, even things that she didn't respond immeditaely to me about. every time i passed the weddings dept it was chaotic, so just know that you will get taken care of, it's just not always in the time frame you'd like.

honestly, i could have planned the entire wedding down there just in the few days we were there before the wedding. i had my chair sashes and the sand ceremony vases and that's all we needed!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
