We got married on 15th April. What can I say.....you plan and plan but sometimes mother nature takes over. All day the sun shon until 4.30pm then it rained, and rained!!! My 5pm wedding in the gazebo ended up being 5.45pm near Himitzu under cover. Disappointing but what can you do other than enjoy the rest of the day. It did stop raining shortly after so we managed to get out down to the beach for photos but it's sad when you see the gazebo and dream of marrying there. Our reception was moved from the Borrdoex terrace to Tiame?? (can't remember spelling) room which worked out better for us, although it was a bit hot inside, it was nice and private with plenty of room for the kids to run around.

All in all it was a nice day and the hotel & rooms are beautiful!

Catherine CONGRATSSS ON YOUR WEDDING!!!!!!!! I'm glad you had a great time apart from the rain. At the end of the day, you marry the love of your life and that's all that matters!!!! Congrats once again and I can't wait to see pictures!!!

Congrats on becoming a MRS Cat! Disappointing not to have the wedding you've always dreamed of but at the end of the day, the most important thing is to marry the man of your dreams. (I'm sure you'd agree)

Can't wait to see your picks as I've booked Michael too and am dying to see the work he does at our resort. Did you do a TTD with him too?

Nat, I totally see it all now. I just smile to myself everytime I see it like "Aw, look at the cute little pageant queen with her man" LMAO

Eliana, YAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! So excited for you. Congrats girlie.

My TTD and wedding photos are up! Ottawa Wedding Photographers | Barb Cameron Wedding Photos Ottawa under "Online Galleries" then "Tara and Bill". I'm so happy, our photographer was AMAZING!

Welcome back, Cath! It was so great meeting you in paradise, I'm sorry about the rain on your wedding day, but the result was still the same, and it's supposed to be good luck! :0) I didn't get a chance to see your wedding, since we did an excursion that day, so hopefully we can see your phootos soon! I was thinking about you when I heard about the flight delays back into the UK, I REALLY wish I had been stuck there too! :0)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
