Hello NSBRIDE2010!

I was thinking on mixing between 14" and 18" lanterns, different colors and sizes... But I'm not sure yet... Maybe even do some rounds and some on a different shape.... I'm just not sure as I'm waiting to see if I do round tables or a long rectangular one... If I do rounds, I will have lanterns all over the dinner space (kind of like first picture below) but if I get to do a rectangular long table, I think I will have them placed on the middle, over the table (second picture below). But I'm still planning and figuring out what we really would like for that day... plenty of time for us!

I think la Barcaza will look AMAZING if you add lanterns! Flori seems like an amazing girl, and I'm sure they could do this for you! Imagineeeeee when the sun sets down and you are sailing over that amazing blueee oceann and the orange lanterns on!!!! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!

I luv these pictures of the lanterns, I still wish I was having my reception on the bordeaux terrace, I'm keeping my fingers crossed but I don't think that many people will cancel for me to have it there, so I will prolly still be on the Hitmatsu Terrace, and I will place lanterns around like the other picture you poseted. By the way where do you find all these great pics ?

Hi Toya! I'm glad you like the pictures and I think that no matter where you end up doing your reception it will be amazing!!!!!

I'm a SR. Event Manager for Marriott International and basically I handle all social events in my hotel (weddings, communions, etc) as well as corporate conferences. That's why I have a huge file of pictures, ideas, things I've done in the past with my groups and things I will love to do sometime in the future... everytime I see something interesting online or anywhere I try to save a pictures or the information in case I need it...

That's why I have all these pics and ideas! lol lol lol

OK Ladies I have a update..... DREAMS just took my 100 deposit for the wedding. I think that is very inconsiderate to not tell you when there are going to take the money. I made my reservation and was confirm over 9 months ago and they are just now taking the money wth...... I thought someone made a fraudulant charge onmy card, I filed a claim and everything and all along it was the resort that charged my card.

lrdavis23 - I would be SO PEEVED!!!! I would seriously call and be like WTF. Although there is not much to do about it anymore. That really sucks, I am sorry you found out like that. Cause like what if someone was just under their credit limit, and then they charged your credit card and it was approved. That would take you over limit and then you would get a fee. It's so inconsiderate, not to mention unprofessional to charge you 8 months later. =(

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
