Jamie,
You shouldn't have any problems with using the pastor over the WC, they only do it because there's no one else but the judge but I would double check on that.
FOr any wedding package, they count everyone including the B&G.

YES! They will! If you are just doing a symbolic ceremony, you can have ANYONE do it! I am having a friend of mine do the ceremony--she isn't a pastor or anything. She is just very good at words and I feel that she could really give a meaningful ceremony, and it will be very special for us to have someone we love conduct the ceremony for us. We spoke with our WC, and she said that if it is symbolic, they didn't care WHO performed it!

Such great news that you will be able to use a pastor you know! That will make it just that much more special!

Thanks Tam and Dana! This is good news! It will be nice to have someone we know conduct the ceremony. Especially being that he is a pastor it will feel much more like a wedding now as we are getting legally married before hand and I was worried the ceremony wouldn't feel "real". Sucks that they count the bride and groom in the guest count though!

WOW, I missed SO MUCH!!! That was a lot of reading to catch up on. It was nice though because work is so slow today! WELCOME to all of the new brides!!!

Nothing new on the front line here, just working a lot and going to school. Same as usual.

I am so glad you posted that picture of the paper lanterns ( elifrigo ), I bought some a few months ago with the intention of trying them out on the terrace when we got there to see what they would look like. So adorable! Glad I bought them!

welcome back ash!!

toya.. i'm so sorry, you know i'm a weekend forum slacker! i believe we ordered a dozen stems since there was a discount for ordering that many. that ends up being plenty for 4 bouquets (8-ish per bouquet), a centerpiece, 3 bouts and 4 hair flowers. i don't think you'll need that many, but i always err on the side of caution with that kind of stuff.

Hi Jamie, yes, you can have someone conduct the ceremony if it is a symbolic one.. we are having Pastor Rick York and have already confirmed it with Deynira. Also, I am almost certain that the bride/groom are included in the quest count... but you may want to ask your WC..

Hope this helps!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
