I think once you get "the" dress, you'll be more excited to finish the rest of your planning. You have plenty of time for planning though. Do things at your own pace so you don't get overwhelmed. There will come a period of "i'm over it" and then they'll be a period were it's constant planning!

You'll get through. =) enjoy the process.
ohh my goodness for me dress shopping was not fun, I thought it was going to be fun, the first shop was fun, but after going to soo many bridal shops it became soo overwhelming, and what I thought I would like didn't look good on me at all, I was soo happy when I finally found my dress so that I didn't have to try on another dress again lol..... I know most brides enjoy this part and have a great time, I may be the only one who didn't lol.....

Maybe I just got lucky. I went to the bridal store with a picture of 3 dresses I wanted to try on and one of them was perfect. I came out of the dressing room and the bridal party next to us started clapping even before I got to see myself in the mirror. That's how I knew that was the dress for me. :)

I can see wear it would be taxing to have to try on lots of dressed. The girl next to me had tried on over 40 dressed. OMG! That, I could never do!

What kind of dress did you end up getting?

I just had to share with all of you girls! today while at work, they called me from shipping/receiving to let me know I had a "package". when I went to get it I noticed it was a 1-800 flowers bow... I started to think is today our anniversary, my birthday or somethinggg as my FI only sends flower for an special occasion. When I open the card I realized one of my brides getting marry this year (August) had send them to me! the card says: "Eliana I just wanted to thank you for all of your hard work in helping me with my wedding questions and preparation. You have been amazing and I am so gratefull for all your hard work, regards Mara". WOWWWWWWWWW I was soo amazeddd and grateful that she did something like this! what a great touchhh! Her wedding is not until august and she is already thanking me! What an amazing way to thank a WC.

Anyways.... this weekend I'm working all weekend (menu tasting tomorrow for June wedding and bridal show on Sunday) but I will be sure to check the forum!

Have a great weekend girls!

Hey ladies! I saw several of you talking about flowers, and I wanted to share a website that I found! I think that I am going to use this for my AHR. I wanted some orchids to scatter on the tables, but I couldn't find any really great prices. From this website, you can order the orchid heads only! They are only $.12/head, minimum of 100. If you order up to 200, shipping is only $34.95. So you could order up to 200 flower heads, for only $58.95! I just wanted to share this with everyone! Hope it helps!

Misty - I love your Save the Dates! We had thought about doing luggage tags but it was just going to be so expensive. I love yours though!!

My Fiance and I just received an RSVP acceptance from one of the pastors at his parents church. Does anyone know if they will let us have him conduct the ceremony rather than having the WC conduct it (we are having the symbolic ceremony)? Also - this is a stupid question but does anyone know if they count the bride and groom in the guest count for the wedding packages?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
