My colors have been this since the beginning, and just recently we added Royal blue! :)

It has been pretty easy so far to find those colors, actually :)

Thanks Misty.

Oh, Nat. Royal Blue sounds like a great compliment color. Mind if I steal it? lol

Happy Valentine's Day ya'll!

Just wanna get everyone's opinions on a couple of things:

Is anone buying the WC a gift or tipping her money?

Is anyone using real touch flowers for their bouquet/bridesmaids bouquet/centerpieces, etc?

Is anyone getting married in the gazebo? If so, are you buying the extra decorations for $350 or just leaving it plain?

And lastely, if I could get everyone's take? Me and my FI have been together 9 years TODAY :) (since we were 16) For the past 5 years, we have tried to go on vacation together at least once a year. I wasn't sure what to get him as a wedding gift as he's not a cufflink/jewlery type of guy. So I brought us first class tickets and planned to have a limo pick us up and take us to the airport. (mind you, we have NEVER flown first class but have talked about one day being "rich" enough to afford it. lol) Is this a cheesy wedding gift? Should I have gotten him something concrete he could touch or wear. Any opinions I'm sure could help put my mind at ease. Thanks ladies. Enjoy the day with your special guy!smile159.gif

Hey Jenise:

Ok I'll answer your questions in order, lol.

1) I will more than likely tip the WC if my experience is just as great as Jocy's.

2) Still thinking about the real touch bourquets and centerpieces. I am trying to consider the weight of my luggage and how much stuff realistically I should take over there. I really don't see myself wanting to bring that stuff back or paying for it and leaving it there. So I will probably go with the real bouquets and centerpieces they provide.

3) As of right now (bc my mind keeps changing) we are using the wedding gazebo and since we are going to go with the Ultimate package, the decorations are included in that price.

4) I think that is a really cute idea and he will appreciate it, esp since it's something that you guys have talked about before, he will really appreciate you remembering it and flying FC for your wedding will make you both feel like superstars! I say thumbs up :)

I have the Ultimate package too! I didn't think anything was include. Well, I know the chairs are but what else?

It includes the centerpiece for the ceremonial table. I think that's the only additional decor added to that. I am bringing my chair sashes with starfish attached to them and making some other diy stuff for the actual ceremony. Send me your email and I will send you some pics.

Also I noticed that you are getting married 2 weeks after me, so if there is anything you want me to leave there for you I can.

Oh, that's so sweet. My email is Jolavarria3@hotmail.com

I'm bringing chair sashes too but was thinking I'd only use them for the reception. Adding the starfish is a cute touch. I was thinking about adding mine around the table or on the napkins.

Yeah, I saw your wedding date. Very cute. Your FI has no reason to ever forget the date. lol. I'm probably just gonna miss you sad.gif I'm getting there on the 24th. Email so I can see what you're using cause my thought is that I'll be taking ALOT of DIY stuff down there as I feel it'll be more cost effective. Thanks hun.

Jenise, feel free to steal the color, since I stole it from someone else! lol

We are bringing real touch bouquets for the girls, but that's all. And actually, they are carrying them themselves haha but as far as boutonnieres and my bouquet, we are only using what the resort gives us. We are doing our reception off the resort, and are only bringing centrepieces for that. The total cost for my 3 centrepieces is about $4.00 each! I'm el cheapo when it comes to that, but I just really don't see the point in making it expensive!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
