Jocy I loved your cake! Did it cost you any extra to have it smoothed out as opposed to what we saw before (all decorated with icing)? My vision is the same as yours, a piece of ribbon around the bottom (and I would add one around the second tier).

Do you remember what the options were for colors for the chair sashes, or did you not worry about it? My FH wants them, and if they don't have orange we will have to bring them!

Couldn't have said it better myself Jennifer. The cake is the least of my concerns, but if you are so hell bent of having a great cake, you can try to contact a local bakery or cake place in DR if you want to go that route. I wouldn't let that deter you from having your wedding somewhere beautiful :) Just my .02 cents!

I hate this ish! Sorry, but the snow was fun at first but then I got cabin fever bad and I am actually glad to be at work today. At home I get nothing done and just eat all day (which is not a good look for someone whose dress is already snug, haha). So not looking forward to this next trip to the grocery store sad.gif

Hey Ladies!

Ok, so I was recently looking through the boards and I found someones welcome letter that she had posted and she was a Dreams Punta Cana bride! I was very excited because I could then relate to all her information she had put down. I wont repost it, because its not mine to repost but u can find it on the Invitation section and its labeled " welcome letter *PDF and pictures*, she did a great job and I'll probly be making a duplicate haha!

So I thought it'd be a good idea if we shared our welcome letters/pre-travel brochures events, whatever with each other as we finish them.

Do any of you have finished ones you could share?

Another question...

What are your events you are having while your there?

Some people have welcome dinners ect, do we have to make reservations er something or can we just show up and request a large table? Would it cost more? I just want everyone to be in one spot before the actual wedding day! I'll be asking Deyanira about this as well, but any info you guys know would be great!

OOohhhh, I forgot about the bonfire!! Do you know how much it is? I think someone posted all the extra prices somewhere on here.

I just sent her an email so I guess I'll wait for her to respond before I send her another one! Ha! Let me know what she says.

Ya, I'm pretty sure we can gather at any restaurant if we don't need it to be private.

This might be a dumb question but..my wedding is on friday, so I'm thinkng I'll do the welcome dinner Thursday, would I just call that a rehearsal dinner? I dont really know what a reheasal dinner is?! basically a welcome dinner right?

oh my goodness ladies, i'm exhausted. i've been working on this review for the past 2 hours!!

It's getting there...slowly but surely, :o)

Just to answer a few qu's that have been thrown out there. I took our chair sashes with us and the cake wasn't extra. We just paid to have once slice per person. So a cake for 20 people was included and we added on an extra 14 people. Does that make sense? I took a picture of what i wanted and told her to smooth out the icing!! :o)

ok...back to the review - hee hee

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
