Tam, where did u see the other pics? I only found a few of her and her hubby on the Dreams Punta Cana Brides FB.
Im so nosy i just wanna see all the pics! hahaha! I'm curious to see the beach reception set up as well.

I have a few questions Katie...
Did they move the reception to a different spot on the beach? Where did ur guests go while they did that?
Where you able to pick out anywhere you wanted to get married on the beach, or are there designated spots?

oooh and while i was effing around on FB i found a BDW page! So u guys should add it ;-)
Im soo anxious to see the huppah as well! It seems like there are NO pics of Dreams PC brides using it!
I was at the resort when she got married. I just didn't know it was Katie, but I watched the ceremony just before my crab won it's race!!

nat.. do you think we're actually lucky enough that they aren't charging for the beach wedding anymore? "casita" technically means "small house", so i have no idea what that is all about! quit changing things on me DPC... i don't deal well with change!!

You also totally lucked out with the beach not being windy that day... everyday before that was brutal... that's why we ended up at the gazebo..
Thanks Tam!!

After meeting your sister I looked for her again (so I could find you) but never saw hersad.gif
That's so funny that you were right there:) You must have been exhausted afterward..I know I was, we (me and DH) went to the disco with everyone after the dinner but only stayed and hour or so. I figure we get to party with everyone on the 20th of February so we snuck offwink.gif
I wish that we had been able to actually meet.
The extra week was great..I missed my MIL she watched Adrian a lot for us the first week, but we did hire a woman from the preferred club and Adrian just fell in love with her.
Did you get a chance to go to the Bordeaux? I thought that it was great.

Ps I know what you mean with the bloating my legs/feet as well as my MOH's swelled right up...so much salt in the food although you don't taste it.

You TTD pic are so great I wish that we did that.
We hired Ornella from Tropical Pictures to do a photo session with DH, Adrian and myself our last day. They were so expensive but well worth it. Did you use the on site photographer as well as your friend?

Are you having an AHR?

Katie

Hi!

The beach reception is on one end of the beach and yes it is designated. We had our ceremony 5:30 (was 5pm but got pushed). The cocktail hour/dinner reception is on the other side of the beach..not too far it started around 6. While we had our photos done our guests went over and had apps and drinks. With the package we got a trio band that played at the cocktail hour..I LOVED it!!
Me and DH got the Ultimate package which was great for us. We also upgraded our dinner to platinum, ordered bottled wine for the tables and upgraded our photos to silver (we got 150 prints plus 10 8 x10's and an amazing video.)
I did see a huppah one day but it was another 300$ and the arch was just as nice. With the beach as a background I didn't think we needed anything else:) All our guests loved everything. I sugjest getting table sashes online theirs aren't very nice and they make a really beautiful touch.

Happy planning!!
Katie

I got your request on FB and I sent you one Erin!

With all the reviews, I am not starting to think about having a beach wedding....UGH...I hate this, lol. But I hate that at the gazebo you can only have 2 chairs on each side of each aisle. It just looks tight to me now, and with the beach you have a say in how many seats you want on each side. I know that is a small detail, but it's just bothering me. The Arch was very pretty too with the ocean in the background. I am starting to have a brain overload with this wedding and really just need to relax (or have a drink, lol). Thanks to all the recent brides for all your reviews and being patient enough to answer all of our questions!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
