Funjet/ Lomas hotel transfers

I searched the forum & couldn't find the answer to all my questions about transfers.

I'm trying to finish up the brochure I'm sending guests before the trip (http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t14888). I want to make sure I'm correct on the airport to hotel shuttle stuff. Its been 10 years since I was last in cancun.

We booked our trip through funjet. I read the shuttle transportion is provided by Lomas.

This is what I was going to put on the brochure. Is my info correct?

When you arrive at the Cancun airport, you will need to make your way to customs. After completing customs, look for the Funjet/Lomas representatives. They will have on white pants, brightly colored shirts and signs that say Funjet or Lomas. Avoid people who are trying to sell timeshares. The transfer from the airport to the hotel is included in your trip package.

You will be transported to the hotel in a van. This ride should take approximately 1 hour. The van will drop people off at other resorts so it might take longer. If you would like to reserve a private, direct shuttle you can do so for $xx. Contact Peggy.

Check in time is not until 3pm. Your luggage will be stored while you wait for your room. At this time you can enjoy the pool, restaurants, or other parts of the hotel. We hope you had an easy trip to Mexico & we look forward to seeing you when you arrive.

Anyone know if the shuttles have restrooms?

I remember they sold beer. Do they usually have bottled water too?

I don't have any exact information but you might want to add that they should pack their suits/coverup in their carry-on.. I read a review once where the rooms weren't ready and they saw other travelers in winter clothing looking very uncomfortable while they were waiting for check-in.

Nevermind.. your wedding is in June..lol :)

When i went before, they gave us time to pull out what we needed from our luggage. But, that's a good tip incase they don't always do that. I know I'll want my swimsuit, sunscreen, etc.

No, they don't have restrooms... or at least mine didn't. It was just a van. They did sell beer, pop/soda and bottled water. That's just my experience from last March, I'm not sure if anything has changed since.

We had a large group traveling, but we didn't take the same shuttle with any of them. They had 2-3 shuttles there at a time and loaded them up and left when there was no more room.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
