So i bought colored cardstock for my diy invitations. I wanted to make them really simple and print everything on the cardstock in white. It's not working. After a little research I've come to the conclusion that you can't print in white ink. Is that possible? All of the articles I've read say that the ink is too transparent to cover a color. There has to be a way, right?

I got myself into some jams not remembering this little detail too. I have yet to figure out a way to do it and have never seen a white ink cartridge at the store. We ended up just using the colored stuff as a background for a white peice of paper and wrote the text on the white sheet.

Another option is to print on some velum and lay that over you colored sheets

The color "white" is actually the absence of color . . . and black is the combination of all colors! The suggestion of using a color background on white paper is problably the only one that would work using a regualr printer. You may also try using a very light gray or blue tone to simulate white. Good luck!

Have you ever hear of a Gocco machine? It's works the same way as a silkscreen. The ladies at the Weddingbee are all over it and have tons a DIY samples. And even Paper Source is carrying supplies.

Its pricey but if you have your heart set on making your own invites w/ white ink, I think it may be the only way to go. Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
