What my Grandparent's wore to their Wedding

My Grandpa just sent me this picture. I'm not sure what year it is but I know they were young, probably around 18 or 19 and they're in their 70's now. So sweet, just thought I'd share.

My grandma had a 17 inch waist. It's crazy!

jaime that is so sweet and adorable. i am going to have to ask my grandma for photos of her wedding! i dont recall ever seeing any! my grandma was a model when she was younger and so gorgeous, so i bet the photos are fantastic.

Unfortunately my grandparents didn't have any. They were too poor and my grandma got married 2 months pregnant. Yah, I can do math. haha

 

They got married so young back then though.

My grandparents have one wedding photo.. my grandma's story is very sweet. She told me once that her and grandpa saved up their money for months to be able to buy their wedding outfits. Grandma wore a blue suit. and their wedding party consisted of two couples (friends of grandpa's) and she doesn't even recall the wife's name of one of the couples..

 

They had a very happy marriage until grandpa passed away in 1990.. he was only in his 60's. Just makes you realize that yes times have changed but it really isn't about the fancy photos, flowers, and dresses.. it's about your love!

Ahh, thats awesome. I was going to say the same thing about her waste. it's tiny. i figured she was wearing some kind or corsett.

Jaime that is so nice, your grandparents were a great looking couple. I really wanted to wear my grandmothers veil when I was first married but was sad to learn all of her wedding attire was burned in a fire.
