How do you pick!

Recommended Posts

Is there one u never want to take off? That actually makes u feel hot even though you dont have the wedding hair and make up? Can u take pics in each one or sneak pics in each one and look at those? I know for me I knew it right away but maybe I was lucky that way. You could always post pics here and we can help! You know how we love pics!!

I just bought the first dress I really loved. I'm not the type of person that would experience an "it" feeling. At least I don't think so because I never waited around to find out. haha. I love my dress though and I'm very excited to wear it on the wedding day, and I don't have the "I never want to take it off" feeling. The corset isn't THAT comfortable! But I'll tighten that puppy up to be thinner!

I had the hardest time trying to find a dress I loved. I really liked the front of it but was just okay with the back. Or I loved the train but hated the front. I tried on so many dresses. Then one day on my lunchbreak and on a whim, I went to a boutique and found THE ONE. When you know, you know. I immediately knew it was the perfect dress. It was just a feeling and I have never doubted mine for a second either. I also really liked several dresses and went back to try then on but when you find the perfect dress, there will no longer be a choice between several.

The only sure fire way to pick "the one" is to take pictures and post them here for us to tell you! smile120.gif Honestly though, the way I knew my dress was "the one" was when every dress I looked at after didn't compare. I tried on a few Maggies and liked them all but really, REALLY liked the one I ended up buying. Hope that helps!

I didn't really get "THE ONE" feeling. I think part of the problem is that I'm a bigger girl, especially in bridal sizes, so nothing really fit. There was a lot of pinning and holding my arms straight down to keep it on.

Even now I sometimes question if I bought the right one, or if I just picked one so it would be here in time for the wedding.

My mom and my BM's cried so I figured they had a better imagination than I!

God, I sound like I hate the dress! I really do like it! I think I just felt rushed and it was about double what I had budgeted.

I say go for the one that makes you cry and the one you feel best in. I also considered the confortable factor and the practicality. For example I didn't want anything with lots of beading on the bodice because it irritated my skin. Also, a cathedral train would probably not have been best for the sand.

I think taking pictures really helps... then you can pull them up side by side on the computer and figure out what you like in each dress and what you don't. I noticed details when I got home that I overlooked in the store... it was the little things that helped me pick the one! After looking at them... I couldn't get my dress out of my head.. so I new it was it! (It was a Maggie as well... I just love the detailing and fit of those dresses!) Good luck!

I agree with everyone else! When you have it on you'll know. You won't ever want to take it off. Or, even though you leave it in the store, you'll find yourself thinking about it/daydreaming about it later that day, later that night, the next morning, etc. Definitely try to take pics & compare them on yourself. Most impt, don't pressure or rush yourself. You'll know it when you find it.

Good luck.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
