I am about to book Bradley Fraser for trash the dress photos, which we are going to have taken 2 days after the wedding. I am a little nervous because this is the first thing I am booking on my own (I have been using the wedding planner at Dreams for everything else). He quoted me $450 for 1.5 hours and said he will pick us up at Dreams and take us to a beach that is about 20 minutes away to take the photos. Then he said he will send us the photos DHL for $60.00 Is this a good deal? Has anyone worked with him before that would recommend him?

THANK YOU!

thats a great price for bradley --- he charges $350/hour, so you arent even paying full price for your partial hour. $60 for the DHL seems sort of high though... i think there is a cheaper DHL option than that. also, make sure you are 100% clear on whether or not he is charging you for the travel time to the beach. when i originally was getting married at the church in san jose del cabo, part of my quoted price was including being charged for the 20 mins to and from the resort and hotel.

i have him booked for 5 hours on my wedding day and am very happy with my choice. he's been wonderful to deal with thus far!

Hi Kristen! My name is Jessica. Bradley is a great guy! I can personally vouch for him. He photographed our TTD--we were his first TTD session. You can see our photos if you do a search under the title Jtds2713 TTD with Bradley Fraser. The thread is on the Post Your Engagement/Wedding Photos. We were very happy with the pictures and even better, we had a lot of fun with Bradley. He was so professional and very hardworking. He spent two hours photographing us and not a minute went by that he was not taking pictures. We had more than 200 pictures! Even as we conversed he was taking shots! Also, a lot of WCs in CAbo love Bradley. He is just this cool person--no airs, no attitude and so pleasant to deal with. Please let him know that I said hi ok?

Thanks ladies! I contacted him again and he said that he will pick us up at the hotel and when we get to the beach thats when the 1.5 hours he takes photos starts. We were going to do Lover's beach but he said that would be an extra $120 and if we go to his favorite beach it would be no extra charge.

I don't know lover's beach and I don't know Bradley but as a photographer I have my favorite beaches that work for me. My guess for the reason he is offering you a discount is that he knows his beach, he knows what works and what photographs well on his beach. I would trust him at his beach since you have Jessica's voucher for him.

i think thats a very fair price as well. id just ask what exactly you are going to get delivered for 60 bucks? is it just the disk of photos (would they be edited and what resolution) and or would there be prints. im guessing for 60 bucks it would be an enlargment or something because 60 bucks to send a disk is pretty steep hahah wink.gif

Hi I booked Bradley Fraser for my wedding as well. Ditto Maura's comments! He is very responsive to emails and will answer any question you have. He seems to take his job very seriously, has great ideas, knows the area, and enjoys what he does! That was what I was looking for, plus it doesn't hurt that he is reasonable in his pricing compared to some ie Juan Carlos, and he does great work! Ashlea

Hey girls (and Jean Marcus)... a comment in regards to the shipping cost. Courier services such as DHL are expensive in Cabo. Sending a couple of CD's or DVD's to the US will cost about $40.00 - $50.00. Sending a larger package such as photo albums or a coffee table book with the CD's/DVD's will set you back anywhere from $60.00 - $85.00...

In addition to the above, there's the cost of packaging and the 'free' but annoying trip to Customs office to get the shipment approved... ugh!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
