Recommended Posts

Hi, I'm Susan & I'm planning to be married in Cabo and we are look into the Hilton bc my fiance has tons of Hilton Honors points. I've been in contact with Carolina, but I have no idea where to start?! I'm so glad I stumbled upon this site. I'm thinking October or November 2008. Looking forward to reading recommendations!

welcome4.gif susan, im also a cabo bride. to answer your question, it depends on your budget. the villas tend to be more expensive and youll likely need to hire an outside wedding coordinator to help you secure your vendors... just something to think about! roam around the cabo forum, theres lots of helpful stuff there.

Wow, I just went through and read the thread on budgets...reality check! We were thinking Hilton to take advantage of Hilton Honors points to pay for our room and our parents. I'm thinking we'll have around 40-60 guest. I envision small and intimate, but at this point, it looks like it's going to be more than I imagine. Experienced brides: Is 10k out of the question? I figured if we have, say, 40 guests @ $100/pp, the food & bev would be $4000. When I was quoted by Carolina @ Hilton, she said apprx. $100/pp, but does that include alcohol? FI and I are funding the wedding ourselves, and FIL are going to fund rehearsal dinner. Any information is valuable information! Thanks so much everyone!

We had 40 guests at Cabo Dreams. Our our original budget was 10K until we realized how much photography was (I had no idea).. we changed our budget to 15K but didn't include our travel/stay or our rings.. we came in $100 over budget... not bad! I tried to save money on each and every little thing and don't buy a bunch of "wedding stuff" in the beginning of your planning.. save the ideas and buy once you have a completed vision.. We were able to hire firedancers/DJ and include a bunch of DIY stuff to complete the feeling we were going for.

You could always use your points to have an extended honeymoon if you decide to not have your wedding there.

We are in the beginning stages of planning as well and started researching the Hilton...I don't believe 10K is feasible at the Hilton for the amt of guests that you are planning to have...plus you have to take into consideration all the other "stuff" that adds up....photo, dj (if you want), etc., an outside wc told us quickly that it would be around 200/pp...but mind you that was a very rough estimate when we just started discussing different options out there.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
