The cost for extra chair is $3.50 each, cake $5 each person and campagne $10/ botol. Flower and decoration (gazebo) $350 but worth the $$.

The hotel and the beach very nice, the food not that bad but out of 17 people only 4 didn't get any diarrhea and trew up. could be from something else not to sure as we all did got Hep A and B injection just incase. Bring lots of pestobismo and bug spray. Make sure ask your guess to order the food in advance if you have the reception in alacarte restaurant to avoid dissaster (our wedding got ruin in the end by the waitress at Sense). Make sure to tell Ana or Elizabeth not to let the DJ gone before your first dance or you will dance only in your balcony.

Anymore info let me know

Good luck
Your pics are beautiful Irma!
So that was the resort photographer that took all of them?? Did you find he was good to deal with?
I had another question: I seen in some of the pics that there was starfish decorations on the gazebo..were they the resort's decorations or your own? I love starfish!

Hi carmen,

Yes I'm using the resort photographer and he is very easy to deal with was a lot of fun as you can see in the picture we always laugh. The star fish decoration is from the resort but I am the one who told Elizabeth that I want star fish for decoration.

We sign the paper work in front of the judge at noon but have the ceremony at around 4:30.

Good luck on your upcoming wedding any other question please let me know

I requested they send me a copy of the english version of the civil ceremony. This is what I got:

Dear friends & Family

We are gathered here to day with the objective of uniting in a civil marriage

Marisa & Don

Who have decided to change their civil status from single to being married.

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… …….

Marriage is an institution; it is an honorable status which has its origins in the solemn contract celebrated between one man and one woman, who of their own free will wish to marry, with the objective to love to protect, honor, and care for each other mutually.

To celebrate this marriage it is necessary that there is no opposition. If anyone present knows of any legal reason to prevent this marriage, they must say so now or forever hold their peace.

Don, do you accept Marisa...

To be you’re legally married wife, do you promise to love her, honor her, care, and protect her, for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health?

As a sign of this promise place the ring on left hand of your bride.

I, xxx, an official of the civil state of Bávaro, Punta Cana, have heard from the couples wishing to marry and having heard of no opposition to their marriage, and having met with all the legal requirements needed by the matrimonial law, in the name of the Dominican Republic, on this March 10th, 2009, in Hotel NH Real Arena in front of your witnesses, I declare you Husband and wife!

Congratulations you may kiss the bride!!

Next question
Are you guys picking the flowers first, then picking the colors for your wedding, or the opposite? I seem to be stuck on picking my colors.
I was going the route of picking the color first. But when I then shared with the WC the sample flowers I wanted, I was told they were all imported flowers and cost extra. However, I was told I could have local, tropical flowers to coordinate with the color I had chosen for no extra charge. I was afraid to end up with flowers I don't care for too much. So, instead I decided to go tropical all the way...and chose one dominant color from the local tropical flowers as my main color.

Marissa,

I was told like that too but the floris work things out, my hubby want a blue flower which is very impossible to get except if they import the flower. So they spray it and it was turn out good actually. We did paid extra for the gazebo though because we have traditional package and gazebo are not inlcuded. If I were you discuss the flower when you actually see Either Elizabeth or Ana. They have a few sample flower you could choose.

Good luck

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
