We're getting things finallized before we leave for EdenH on January 18th for our Jan 24th wedding YAY!! Just curious if anyone had used the wireless internet that you can get with the VIP rooms. We have a 10 month old daughter that is staying home, we wanted to bring the laptop and a webcam to communicate. We don't want to waste bringing it if it doesn't work good. Also.. did anyone do any long distance calls, if so was it easy?

Thanks any type of info would help.

      Hi Luckybride,

I used VIP room internet connection and the internet is good but the connection are faster if you connect in your balcony while you could show around the Resort (I did that with my sister in law before she came). Making long distant from your room is not hard either.

Just a bit info for you.

The Resort photographer are great (Versache), we bough about 109 picture and cd for $600.

      Reception dinner:

Make sure you order the food in advance if you have your reception in ala cart restaurant to avoid disasters reception like they did with my reception (end up crying and walk out the restaurant not getting the chance to cut my wedding cake and eat dinner). tell Elizabeth (she is great) where you like your seat.

I will post review and picture tomorrow good luck and congratulation for your upcoming wedding.

        Hi All,

I am back from EdenH as promise I post pic and review.

Elizabeth was great but you got to make sure to go trough with her with what you want on the wedding. My hubby want to have blue flower on the wedding but since very impossible to find blue flower in PC, the florist decided to spray some of the flower with blue paint, and it is look good.

Since at noon the sun is very strong, we decided to sign all the paper work at noon with the judge, and have the ceremony at 4:00 pm and Mike Bryan was perform the ceremony.
Funny….story we will always remember. My Hubby and his best man forgot the wedding rings, and they cant find it everywhere. I end up wearing my mother in-law ring and he wore his dad ring. After the picture and toast, I went to the room and the ring still in it place where he put it so we have good laugh at it lol.

I took the Tradional Wedding package so is only for 10 people of cake, chair and champagne. The extra cake $5 per person, chair $3.50 per chair and champagne is $10 bottle. If you like gazebo extra $350 but worth the $$ to add.

We were supposed to have our first dance on the beach but the DJ already left so make sure to tell Elizabeth not to let them go before you finish. We end up dancing in our balcony with tear in our eyes with the music from our laptop and regret having the wedding day ruin in the end.

For reception in alacrate with no extra charge if you and your guess are under 25 people. Make sure you ask Elizabeth to see the restaurant, and tell her where you and the guess want to be seat it. Otherwise you and the guess are not seated together (this my mistake not seeing the restaurant first and Elizabeth not offering either). See the menu and ask your guess in advance what they would like to order or you will not get your order right as the server are very limited English or French.

We chose Sense Restaurant (French) which is not French food at all. The decoration are very nice. The food are good too (steak, fish and chicken). Everyone get their order with 1 guess getting wrong order but was sort it out by the server. My order always coming late, and have to asked twice for my appetiser and soup. Since it is our wedding my hubby and I decided to order lobster, even though we have to pay extra $29 for each. But the server kept coming back with wrong order, even though we ask them more then 6 times even show them what we order just in case they don’t understand what we want. After more then 2 hours we gave up with our order and I told them I will cut my cake. since everyone want to eat their dessert but they won’t let me cut my cake and told us the food is coming in 2 minute as they been telling us for many times. After long hours finally our order is coming but with 1 order. My hubby was very upset as his not felling good so he asked me to go. I end up getting frustrated and walk out crying with our daughter. Everyone was so upset with them. The Manager offer us romantic dinner for 2 as if that will make everything go away.

The next day Mike Bryan offer us to have dinner with anything we would like to order with our guess (17 of us) but was to windy that night and my hubby running with fever and diarrhea he cant even walk and getting up until the next day. We went to the buffet and cut our cake 1 days after the wedding (thanks God no one sick from the cake from as that cake from yesterday). Anything they offer will not fix the damage they made, the wedding is done and it ruin in the end.

Thanks to the Resort photographer (Versace I think that his name), he took very nice picture. At least we have that to remember also.

Anything you want to know please let me know.

Jorge Allocco is no longer EdenH photographer, there is new photographer that took very good picture (he kept us smiling most time), his name is Versache and his assitant name Eric, you could ask one of the girl or Eric to book him for you, his shop just right by the grill Restaurant. I have post his work on this Web.

Sorry your reception all you had hoped...but your wedding photos are beautiful.

I am scheduled for a civil ceremony at 11am on the beach on March 10...only time available. I keep hearing that it is very hot at noon...how hot is hot? I'm from south Texas so I hope I can bear it.

Hi marissa congrat on your upcoming wedding.

The only time available for us also at noon but I choose to sign all the paper work with the judge at noon and have the ceremony at 4:00pm when the sun not to strong.

Weather in march average low of 71.0 degrees to an average high of 83.0 degrees, it is hot for my liking. All of our guess actually can not stand being in the sun at noon. If I were you think to have the ceremony in the afternoon. You could discuss it with Elizabeth, she is great.

              Good luck
              Irma

                  Hey Everyone,
I have written Elizabeth a few emails with some questions, but she never writes back! In October when I was confirming my wedding, she would write back to me in a matter of hours, which is why I dont understand why she isnt writing back AT ALL..? I send the emails to the "mtngs" address, and also she had given me a gmail address when the mtngs one was broken, so I could still communicate with her.
What address do you guys use? And, have you been having problems like me?
All I wanted to ask her is if we have to pay cash or credit for the wedding package and pictures.
Thanks! Any help would be appreciated! :)

Elizabeth recently introduced me to a new WC...Ana De Los Santos. She uses the same email address as Elizabeth.

I asked the same question earlier and was told I can use my credit card for services that are to be made to the hotel...but to make sure with my bank that I can use it in the DR.

FYI...Ana seems to be fluent in English.

Any services that you can get at the hotel can be charged to a credit card. We got married at the Edenh on January 3, 2009. It was the most wonderful day ever. Ana is fluent in English and can do any translating that you need during your ceremony, if it is civil. The girls really do a great job and they will even surprise you with extras that you do not even ask for. If you have a vision, be sure to bring some of your own decorations. It is totally worth it! Good Luck!
