Keep plugging away. It doesn't take long to add up the points. Read and respond and the points add up. You need 40 (if I recall correctly) to open attachments.

God love ya! lol 99% of the girls here wish they had a FMIL like you :) Thankfully I'm part of the 1% who has an FI with an amazing Mom. And I can promise you that your son's future wife is VERY appreciative, expecially if she's ever talked to any bride with a controlling FMIL lol

i am also lucky to have a great FMIL! It is my mom and my step dad that were stressing me out a bout the at-home reception. They want to do it their way. So we decided not to do anything since we wouldn't be around to plan it and make decision. We live overseas so we would basically be leaving it up to our parents who do not know each other well to plan together. That is not an option. We told everyone to concentrate on getting to and having fun at the destination wedding!

HI girls! So much going on in this thread, and I missed it all.

I've been so busy packing and doing all last minute things.

I have to say, Elizabeth (the Edenh's onsite coordinator) is really great to work with. Make sure you guys send her pics of what you want. I've been sendig pics of how I want my cake to look like. I have no choice but to take my own decor, but she spoke to the chef/baker and he agreed on making my 3 tier Dominican cake with a firmer frosting. Exciting because I don't want my cake topper to sink into the cake! Hope you guys get a chuckle out of my cake topper!

Hi everyone!

I have read most of the posts on this thread and you all have helped with making my decision a little bit easier. Unfortunately I do not have enough points as of yet to get some of the attachments or to PM anyone with questions.

I originally wanted to have my wedding at the Paradisus Punta Cana but am appalled by how much my guests would have to pay to stay there! My TA gave me her choices; Dreams Punta Cana and Ocean Blue/Sand. I did a little research and found EdenH and have fallen in love with the pictures!

I can't seem to find a way to get in touch with the WC at EdenH. I tried a couple of the email addresses on this forum but it's been about a week and I want to check out their packages and prices for Nov 2009 before going ahead with a group booking. It's kind of frustrating because all of the other resorts I have emailed have gotten back to me within a few days and I am worried that this is what I will experience if I decide on EdenH.

My order of preference for resorts is:

EdenH

Dreams Punta Cana

RIU Palace

Ocean Sand/Blue

Any help would be great girls! I am getting desperate!

Hello Jennierin,

Welcome to BDW.

Elizabeth is the Wedding Coordinator at EdenH and her email address is mtngs.edenhrealarena@nh-hotels.com. So far she has been fantastic at getting back to us, but we've only emailed her a couple of times and we are getting married in just over three months (were taking a very relaxed approach to our wedding).

The wedding packages have changed since they were first posted to this site. I could send you what I have, but know they could change for 2009.

Feel free to ask any questions you may have to this thread... Some girls here have already been married at EdenH and some (like myself) are getting married shortly and can probably answer many of your questions.

Good luck with your planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
