I actually have 1 guest that is bringing a 'buddy'. I've only met them once or twice. I'm not sweating it. I figure, since the cheaper rates were based on double occupancy it worked out best for my guest. And I dont mind, as long as everyone has a great time. pinkie.gif

Ditto!

I have a few co-workers I invited (single) that are taking other co-workers (buddies). I can't say no. Like twinkletoes said, as long as it works out for them and they have a great time, I'm happy!

And as far as my planning, it's coming along. I stay up late putting things together and the next day I just sit and stare in aw! It makes me soooooo happy to see it all coming together. It's just a matter of getting all my rsvps so I can finish up! I think I'm going to ship my stuff. I was told to look into Mail Boxes etc.

Cool! Thank u both for your advice...Have you worked it out with the wedding coordinator to ship things to the resort?

I live overseas now, so first I have to bring/ship things to Toronto and then I will ship from there. I was thinking of shipping my silk flowers and vases that I may purchase for centerpieces. Otherwise, I will have my guests bring stuff down....any thoughts...thewave.gif

The require a 20% deposit and then you pay in cash when you get down there.

You can email them. Flori is good about tending to her emails these days. They may not be so busy now. We are going out 2 days before our wedding. It's a 3 hour excursion.

Hope this helps. shots.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
