Here is the new updated wedding package info: Attachment 1663

One good thing I noticed about some of the packages the couple gets VIP status (which is a bad thing for me, b/c we already paid for this) and also the opportunity to upgrade to a suite!

On the down side, it looks like they put a limit to the # of guests. So if you have more guests, then I guess you will have to go with the higher packages. In the first packages it just stated the # of guests registered with EdenH.

The photo prices dont look too bad. But I am also not too happy with the floral/ceremonial decoration extra prices. $30 each for a tikki torch!!!! $25 decoration for each chair!!! Are you kidding me!!! Its not like I get to take the stuff with me! Is this normal? Or am I just being too dramatic? Ok, I'm off my rant.

BTW: Does anyone know what package they are going with or leaning towards?

WTF? $25 a chair?! No way! I think I'm better off taking my own

seat covers and bows! That's crazy!!

The one good thing out of this is they finally got a new wedding coordintor. I was never able to get in touch with her. I heard she got married herself and that's the excuse they made for her never being around.

I'm going to call my TA today and find out more scoop. Thanks for your update.

  • 2 weeks later...

hi,

I am planning my wedding at the EdenH for june and haven't been able to see one photo from the resort photographer and it seems to be hard to get prices too. I just want to let you know that there is a great photo company in Punta Cana and their work is fabulous. They answer the emails right away and they make it really easy ( Photosouvenir Punta Cana, Wedding Photographer Dominican Republic). I have spoken with Severine, the owner and she told me that she was booking for the Eden H and that they don't need a day pass to enter the resort. This is good to have an other option so you should check it out. Hope it helps

Thanks for the tip! :~) That makes you officially the 1st one on this forum to get married at the EdeNH! Have you decided what package you are going with? And how many people are you expecting if you don't mind me asking?

I am also leaning more towards using Photosouvenir as my photographer. Especially since we don't have to pay the day pass fee(one less thing out of the budget). And also, I have actually seen pics from them, however, not from the resort photographer! It seems that their prices are reasonable and their photos are decent enough for me. It will defitenly save $ for us instead of trying to fly one from the states in.

Now I just need to determine what package I am getting. huh.gif

Have any of you decided on what package you're getting or if you're utilizing them for video services as well?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
